Carley is a singer, songwriter, and multi instrumentalists currently residing in Austin TX. Born an hour outside of Austin, she was raised in the country with a loving musical family and a pack of wolves. She plays guitar, mandolin, piano, upright bass, banjo, and anything else she can get her hands on. She has toured the US, Canada, Mexico, and Europe with various musical groups including The Crooked Jades and The Celestialites. She has now formed the Howls and they will be touring to support her debut release Set Sail. Recorded at the Troubadour in Lockhart TX with Steve Collins and Jonathan Konya, the songs will take you on a journey down memory lane, through love and loss, visiting the river, meadow, graveyard, down to the ocean, and then into the unknown. Set Sail was released on September 15, 2009.

Carley, I love this "Run into the Wind" video of yours! The more I listen to it the better I like it! Ever since I first heard you singing open mic at the Bluebird, I have been captivated by your music and songs. The special minor scales that you use, your choice of rhythms, the bowed strings, and the suspended notes that you sing add an ethereal almost mystical quality to your songs, and give another dimension to the lyrics that you are singing.
