About me: Carl Jackson is the CEO of Carl Jackson Entertainment, LLC. And, the CEO of Sarah Jean Music record label, dist. through Taseis/ Warner Bros./ Word Entertainment. He started his career at 19 years old, as an Actor / Director, with his first film Different Lifestyles.
Carl brings many years of experience in film and television production to Carl Jackson Entertainment, LLC. He was Producer and Director of the recently released feature film, “Inhumanity,” and has worked on various independent feature films, television projects, and commercials, including Coca Cola. He has also directed Rock, R&B, and many gospel music videos, for such artist as Anointed, Deitrick Haddon, Angie Winans, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Rightous Riders, Chris Willis, Rance Allen, and has work with Take 6, Fred Hammond, Fazion Love, Russ Parr, Billy Williams, and Earth, Wind & Fire among many others. Carl’s music videos were also released on WOW Gospel 2003, 2005 DVD, and WOW Gospel 2009 DVD. Carl’s work and music videos have been featured or played on MTV, Vh1, PBS, ABC, BET, BET J, JCTV, TBN and GMC television networks. In 2003 Carl had two of his music videos in the top ten on TBN Network's late night music video show, hosted by superstar hip hop artist, T-bone. In October of 2008 on the Gospel Music Channel, a music video Carl directed and produced, held the number one spot on two charts, (both Soul and the Main chart), that included the likes of Mary, Mary, Trace Adkins, Sonicflood, Billy Ray Cyrus, Rascal Flatts, & Michael W. Smith, for 12 straight weeks. Before this video (directed by Carl Jackson), gospel music superstar Kirk Franklin held the longest running number 1 spot on the network for 8 weeks. Carl's video now holds the longest running number one music video spot of all time, for the network, including, country, rock, soul, pop and main charts combined.
Carl Jackson has many years of comprehensive filmmaking experience. He has served in many capacities and has leadership experience in, business, producing, directing, acting and writing. He is currently in pre-production on three films, including, the life story of Gospel Legend Bobby Jones, of BET fame. Carl also has three TV shows, two in development and another in production. As of August 1st 2009, Carl signed a multi-year major movie and television deal. Some industry insiders have said, Carl Jackson will be the next Walt Disney /Jerry Bruckheimer combined.
For Sarah Jean Music, Carl has just finished a new movie and music CD/ DVD coming in 2009 called “CHURCH”. The movie stars Irma P.Hall and Carl Jackson, with songs produced and written by Carl Jackson.
Carl, having spent his childhood in Dallas Texas with his sister, has always had a great desire to be an integral part of film and television projects that would enhance and repair the family unit, but also entertain the mainstream. Carl is single with no children.

Me too, i had no idea what an effect he still had on me after all these years, not only do we lose him but we lose a bit of ourselves as we reflect playing Off the Wall and the Thriller Album on the record player. :(
