Mrs. Susan Pons for State Senate District 50. Pons is running against incumbent, John Snow. The Rosman Chronicle also had an interview with Pons and I will be glad to email a copy to anyone interested.
Dr. Carl Mumpower for US House of Representatives District 11. Mumpower is running against incumbent Heath Shuler. Mumpower's website is located at www. mumpower08. com. Since Shuler has been in office, we in Transylvania County have had no real representation... please consider Dr. Mumpower so that we can again have a voice in the House. Our county has many needs that will continue to fall by the wayside until we can get someone in office that will listen to us and be there for us!
For those in Transylvania County, I urgently ask that you consider voting for Jason Chappell, Kelvin Phillips and write in candidate, Spud Ayers for county commissioner. Our recent noise ordinance is BS! It was created in response towards one individual and now affects all of us in the county. Now our commissioners are using OUR tax money to pay out of county attorneys over $300 per hour to enforce this ordinance. OUR money that could be used towards helping the needy in our county. Help stop this waste by voting the abusers out!
Remember, it is up to us to vote for local candidates, we are the ones who put them in office. This year, lets work together to put people in office who sincerely want to work towards OUR needs, not their own political ambitions.
