This section is dedicated to my father: Dr. Fallieres S. Bernier rest in peace.
The BERNIER pronounced (bur-niay) "crest" was created, probably in the 1950's or 1960's and has been used in various publicatons of L'Association de la Famille Bernier"
and other extant genealogical groups. While it's
design is "unique" in concept, it is not originally
heraldic, that is, not created for our ancestors in
Bernier, France. There are several theories regarding the origins of the surname; several of which have been evinced in publications by Cyrille Bernier and others belonging
to the aforementioned society. The one theory to which
I most ascribe, as do with professsional genealogists
is that which ascribes the name to an early Roman
martyred saint. This Saint "Bernier" - probably
"Bernierius" or something like that was alleged to
have lived in the early centuries of Christianity. It
is most plausible that his name was used as a "given"
name, and that that by the middle ages, there were any
number of persons carrying the given name of
"Bernier". This does not mean that they are
descendants of this "saint", rather that several
people used this martyred saints name as their first
name; and later, it became a surname.

HE IS ALSO THE GUITARIST FROM THE WORLD'S FIRST ORIGINAL ALL BLACK PUNK-ROCK GROUP DOCUMENTED IN HISTORY EST 1975 FROM PHILADELPHIA, PURE HELL. HE REPLACED THE ORIGINAL GUITARIST "CHIP" SINCE 1992. THEY ARE ONE OF THE LAST GROUPS TO PLAY WITH SID VICIOUS FROM THE SEX PISTOLS BEFORE HE PASSED ON TO "PUNK ROCK HEAVEN" THE MUSIC THAT IS ON THE UPCOMING ALBUM "THE BLACK BOX" FROM PURE HELL HAS HIM ON GUITAR. IN ADDITION TO PLAYING WITH PURE HELL HE IS THE ORIGINAL/FORMER GUITARIST FROM THE HIP-HOP/ALTERNATIVE GROUP, MIX MATCH SOX. HE HAS WORKED IN THE STUDIO WITH THE LEGENDARY FRONTMAN, LEMMY KILMEISTER(MOTORHEAD), CHARLIE CLOUSER(FORMERLY OF NINE INCH NAILS) AND MICK CRIPPS(FORMERLY OF LA GUNS) HE IS ALSO A STUDIO SESSION GUITARIST WORKING WITH OTHER VARIOUS ARTISTS/MUSICIANS THROUGHT THE PHILLY/JERSEY/NEW YORK METRO AREAS SPECIALIZING IN MANY DIFFERENT FORMS OF MUSIC. AS WELL AS MENTORING A YOUNG PRODIGY, HE KNOWS THEORY AND IMPROV(PLAYING BY EAR), INCL SEVERAL STYLES OF GUITAR PLAYING FROM FLAMENCO SPANISH STYLE TO METAL. THE GUITARS YOU HEAR ON THIS SPACE ARE ALWAYS ME!~As far back as I can remember I always wanted to be a famous guitar performer. It seemed like just yesterday when I was 13 asking my mom to buy me a guitar and she told me, "Carlos, I wont buy you a guitar unless you take lessons." Time passed and I asked her again, she repeated the same words. I was wise to take her advice. After eight months of lessons, I reached the point where I could play by ear and read music theory. Within a year, I began playing with garage bands as a teenager. In and out of groups in high school (battle of the bands) and seeing that this was harder than I thought dealing with those who only want to play in a garage, I began writing music to have my own band someday. In my early adulthood, I was mentored by Kenneth Gordon a.k.a. Stinker(songwriter/singer)and the late Michael Sanders a.k.a. Spider (percussion) from the worlds first original all black punk-rock band, Pure Hell. They were also one of the first afro-american rock pioneers and was discovered by Curtis Knight (the same person who claimed to have discovered Jimi Hendrix). Spider was a magnet to celebrities, EVERYONE knew him. Two weeks later I was in a N.Y.C. recording studio w/P.H. being produced by Mick Cripps from the rock band L.A. Guns(the forefathers of Guns-N-Roses). Two years later, I found myself in another recording studio in Los Angeles only to be produced by the legend, Lemmy Kilmeister from the UK band "Motorhead." and Charlie Clouser former member of Nine Inch Nails. I stayed with Pure Hell on and off for nearly 10 years between college and the military. Two years later, I joined a HipHop/Alternative band called MIX MATCH SOX signed to StarPower Entertainment. I was their guitarist for almost two years and left the band due to musical differences. Since then, I have been looking to start something new in the likes of my past endeavors. The problem was, I was never able to do what I wanted to do in those past groups...til now.
