Well, another year seems to be coming to a close meaning that its time for me to update my myspace bio. For anyone who doesn't know my name is Matt Carlson and I'm a rock artist from a small town in Connecticut and what you see on this page is essentially my life. About a year ago I began to actually work on my first full length solo album "Dropping Like Flies" which was released in the middle of this past summer to a rather small audience of people who have managed to find me through myspace or mostly other online methods. After its release on iTunes and other online vendors, my album picked up a little bit in the sales. At one point, i played strictly acoustic music that seemed to appeal to everyone with extremely open-ended lyrics that anyone could relate to. More recently, I've started to diverge from my seemingly signature sound to a more creative and diverse sound. Using these ideas for new songs and new sounds, I took a few songs back into the Crytone Records studio and began to slowly work on what will at some time next year be my second album currently named "Atom and Evenings". You can start to get a taste for the new sound in the song that's currently posted called "For Those of Us Who Knew". It's more of a way to ease my listeners into an entirely new sound from me than they're used to and so far its gotten nothing but positive response. So as we charge into the year 2009 at what seems to be all too quick a pace, please keep looking for me, I'll do my best to pop up in places you least expect me.

This year Thursday, August 14, is the date that marks the 3 year anniversary of original music being presented at Daniel Street in Milford, CT. We are all very excited for this event and wanted to thank all of our friends, enemies, bands, families, pets, employees, & coffee watering holes for the support they have given us over this past year & The 154 shows we some how ended up doing. We will be honoring all of the bands that performed here over the last year with a commemorative T-Shirt designed by none other than Mr. Mike Falcigno, which will be available at the show.
In this years line up we have 3 great touring bands: Panther (Kill Rock Stars), Digital Leather(AZ) & Fiasco (NYC). In addition to these groups we will have 3 local bands: Eula, Electric Bucket, & Murdervan.
