"Carly Bryant is so much more than just another girl with a guitar. Her voice has depth and originality, her compositions are peppered with spectacular and thought-provoking lines. She plays her guitar with such fluidity, panache and rhythmic effect that it becomes an extension of herself. This is a beautiful must-see, must-hear act." ROCKSMAG
"Carly's voice has an uncommon depth, and her lyrics range from the tender to the ironic. You must catch her!" ONE80 NEWS
"Infinitely talented Carly Bryant has a nice line in talking-bluesy singer-songwriting, and one hell of a voice. She sings confessional and comedy lines without pretension or mawkishness and she charmingly disarms the audience within three seconds of stepping on stage" CULTURE DELUXE
NEW ALBUM "SING A SONG OF SIXPENCE" AVAILABLE TO BUY HERE
With a voice of depth and originality, an enigmatic stage presence and compositions peppered with thought-provoking lyrics and killer hooks, Brighton based acoustic folk rocker, CARLY BRYANT, has been gigging on guitars, pianos and vocals since the age of 14.
Carly single handedly sold 3,000 copies of her debut album “Twelve” at gigs and busking sessions alone. Her second album “Sing a Song of Sixpence” was launched at one of the UK’s best live music venues, Komedia, Brighton in April ‘08 to a sell-out crowd and a queue outside! iTunes selected one of the tracks, Bonfire City, for iTunes Essentials autumn ‘08 release.
Carly has opened for Tinariwen, Joan As Policewoman, Polly Paulusma, and Ani DiFranco’s latest find, Anais Mitchell. She has picked up a strong loyal fan base, including The Levellers, REEF and Phats & Small. Carly has played her one woman show at numerous venues including Brighton Dome's Corn Exchange, Barfly and Concorde2, as well as receiving radio airplay on BBC Southern Counties, BBC Kent and BBC Wales. DIVA magazine recently put Carly in their Number One “hot spot” following a full page review of her 2008 album.
Carly is looking forward to releasing her third album later this year.
