Carly's OK began making music thanks to Pee Wee Herman who encouraged her to collect pots and pans during the commercial break and bang on them. Things snowballed from there. Next up she and her sister took to recording themselves singing and saying all sorts of witty things into a Fisher Price tape recorder. At 13, she started playing guitar. Later she discovered 4 track tape machines. She rented a digital recorder for a university project, which pointed her life in a new direction. It was the second most useful thing she learned at university (first was anything from her music and technology course). One year she used her tax return to buy some used turntables and now has an addiction to vinyl. She volunteered as a programmer at CKMS FM, helps organize Ladyfest Toronto and has a diploma in Audio Producing/Engineering from the Harris Institute. In a previous incarnation, she was a writer.
Carly's OK enjoys dogs, dim sum, the Smashing Pumpkins and NKOTB reunions and riding her bike.

Everythings de radiohead , n'est pas ma favorite , mais une des plus belle! Je peux écouter cette chanson 5 fois de suite en étant toujours émue.

Moi en ce moment je passe mes journée à écrire et à faire des chansons. J'essaie de nouvelle chose. Mais c'est difficile d'être satisfaite du résultat (sourire)
Pj harvey....Je l'aime tellement aussi! C'est un dieu pour moi. Je l'aime depuis DES ANNÉES! Elle est si talentueuse. Tout ce qu'elle fait c'est beau. Soit très rock , soit très piano. Bouleversant. Je l'ai vu en concert il y'a 2 ans. Et là elle revient en france en mai avec john parish!! Je vais la voir à Brussels , Londres et Paris !

Oh tu as donc eu la chance de voir CocoRosie en live. J'ai pas encore eu l'occasion. Mais la prochaine fois qu'elle vienne a Paris. Je vais les voir. Leurs monde est merveilleux. J'aime tout ce qui est hors norme , un peu féerique...Indien... Dans le style de "bat for lashes". Je sais pas si tu connais.
Sinon ici , en france on à une chanteuse qui se nomme "soko" que j'aime énormément , je suis sûre que tu vas aimer. Je t'envoie une vidéo :)
La neige , c'est vrai que c'est beau quand c''est blanc. A paris c'est pareil quand il neige , elle devient vite marron à cause de toutes les voitures... Moi j'aime bien la neige à brighton.... C'est vraiment beau.
J'ai une amie qui va venir vivre à Montréal pour 6 mois. J'espère donc que je pourrais venir voir. Mais en ce moment j'économise pour partir à New york. Je rêve de voir cette belle et grande ville.

I make music , but you know , i feel like a child with what i make. I have the impression is not good. Is hard to explain what is it. It's a lot of voice , because i don"t have "studio" but just my PC for recording the song. I think it's a little strange. Pretty quite. And i think , a little sad. I have a music myspace...But not yet music (ahahaha) I send you the address when i put something. I'm a shy person with music , so , not a lot of people listen it. Anyway. It's just something i make with heart.
S.P , yes i love this song too! You know , it's new for me to love this band , at the beginning i was not fan about it. but since few month i'm a big fan , it's an amazing band. The voice of this man , is....Pure. I love 'spaceboy' and 'Annie dog'. And of course my favourite album is adore.

In Paris , is beautiful yes , but so cold. Outside , it's freezing. But i love the snow in a city. It's romantic , i feel in love when i saw the white snow. I dream to come in Toronto and Montreal one day. It's look , amazing. With a lot of trees , and river. I love it!
