TIG Welding mostly, but MIG and Plasma Arc Welding and Cutting, anything to do with metal, and working online. Also interested in vintage WWII era posters and photos, particularly of welders and women working for the war effort.
Music
I like to rock it, and sometimes roll it... anything from Red Hot Chili Peppers to Beck. Sometimes a little electronica or groove lounge for ambiance...
Movies
Little Miss Sunshine! LOVE the VW. I think my best friend in college owned that same van!!
Television
um... dare I say America's Next Top Model? when I should really say stuff like Orange County Choppers, Monster Garage, Junk Yard Wars, Pimp My Ride, etc.
There's a new cartoon woman in town!
As online spokesperson for Arc-Zone.com I host my own blog at www.CarmenElectrode.com. I post industry news, links to good welding articles-- I specialize in TIG welding.
Who I'd like to meet: Anyone interested in welding. TIG, MIG, Plasma Arc Welding, especially if you're doing something really interesting with it: creating metal sculpture (yeah, the girls always go for the art!), restoring an antique automobile, fixing up your race car, building experimental aircraft in your basement....
Hot as hell baby! lol Good work promoting women in welding BTW, I know how hard it can be for women to get started in the industry. I've signed papers for a few women to get them started when no one else would do it, which is a shame...it's good for all of us to see more good women welders in the trade.

Hi Carmen..I am a certified welder too. I hung up my cables and now work with young people to help them get training and apprenticeships. I miss my days welding but at 56 I think I will stick to what I am doing. Cheers, Lyn
If you go to this link - there is actually some merchandise (posters, post cards) with "Wendy the Welder" I printed out an order form and will try to order something. There is a lot of stuff of Rosie as well. I guess there really was briefly a Wendy the Welder. Talk to you later.
ROSIE THE RIVETER ACTION FIGURE! Have you seen this? I was given one for Christmas this year. You can get them on line or ebay. It is actually pretty cool! Have a good day! D.
