Gwendolyn Quansha Pegues also known as Carmen was born and raised in Batesville Mississippi. She was born March 13, 1988. At the age nine she discovered her love for writing songs, and rapping. Her inspiration was Aaliyah. As a young girl she watched Aaliyah who gave her hope to one day become famous. Carmen later moved to Coffeeville and put her music on hold to play basketball. She later rediscoverd her love for music by the 11th grade. She went over J-blaze house, which is Soulja Boy's uncle to record. J-blaze has also did Carmen's graphics, and helped write and produced her songs. Carmen has always been set apart from her classmates at school. She was never afraid to take on a challenge. She was very creative. During talent shows she would perform skits such as Maury in front of her school. Carmen was always doing something. She was later in a group called C.A.B. which meant Carmen, Angel, and Blaque. Few months the group didn't work out, so Carmen decided to go solo. Carmen had everyone in her school singing her songs, and making music videos to it. She also loved movies. Her favorite actor is Chris Tucker. She would act out the whole movie "FRIDAY" and have people cracking up. Carmen not only wants to become a rapper but a model, talk show host, actress, movie director, Music producer, song writer, and a hair dresser. Her music is style is different from other female rappers. She is a mix between vita and ms. b. She listen to T.I., LUDACRIS, AND a lot of female rappers to get inspired. She hopes to get sign to a record label and keep giving her fans what they want, Carmen.
