The year is 1999, a small crew of people were extremely bored. To eradicate this blight they organised a party where friends could get totally wasted and listen to some proper Techno and Hardtrance on a large soundsystem. The initial clubnight at the Black Swan was a mild success and became a precursor to one of the southwest's most popular underground music events of the era. Carnage's reputation spread as far and wide as Glasgow and London by the end of 2000.
Fellow nutcases united! The atmosphere always vibrant, the bodycount high, Carnage enjoyed its success. This did not go unnoticed, and in 2001, logical authorities were quick to nail the original members for corruption of the mind. Incarcerated in a Small Shed in Easton for the Dangerously Odd the Carnage Crew, unaware of a concept called time, gave themselves over to a variety of projects known collectively as "other commitments" for the next four years.
During 2005 they were visited by the one known as Smiffy. He spoke of a fabled land where Techno could be united with Electro and Breaks in a quest to indulge in the ultimate party environment. Inspired, the Carnage returns with added Breaks and Electro rooms, audio and visual entertainment provided by artists and crews including: Mad-Tek, Vinyl Richie, Helmut Klunk, Micropunto Schallplatten, DJ set by Cuisine's Little Youth & Crustea jamming the visuals. Plus all the usual Carnage residents deranging the senses for a classic all-nighter mash-up.
