Carneus were formed in October 2003 by four restless metalheads who wanted to play some fast, filthy, disgusting and really intense death metal. With influences like Carcass, Cannibal Corpse, Death and Decapitated they gave birth to a malignant parasite, named Carneus.
After just some months of existence, the first gig was a fact. In 2004 the demo "Heaven is painted in gore" were recorded and released in about 40 copies (no-one really knows for sure). New songs evolved and the recording of the second demo "Hate Incarnated" started. Hate Incarnated were unleashed in the summer of 2005.
This demo took Carneus to another level. A faster, harder, more technical sound. Hate Incarnated have got great reviews and Carneus were more inspired to write new music than ever. In 2006 Carneus recorded their third demo "Carrier of deceases" witch was further
evolving from the previous demos. "Carrier of deceases" with its more mature sound got even better reviews than "Hate Incarnated".
In 2007 Jonas quit the band to move abroad to the promised land of käsewurst and knobibrot. This left the band short of bass and vocals for about 7 months.
Even though the productivity in song writing were constant.
In the fall of 2007 AntiKristian joined the band on bass and later on Berger joined on vocals.
This will for sure be beneficial for the sound of the new Carneus. 5 new brutal tracks are rehearsed at the moment and will be recorded in March this year! Make sure you're updated because the new Carneus are oncoming in a very near future...
