Whilst this seems to be an obvious goal for any aspiring new act, Carnifex have taken a simple and effective approach - playing, inexclusively, the music that they like and amalgamating it to produce their own identity and sound.
From film scores to black metal; Maiden to Tull, CarnifeX draws influences from a central belief in melodic, emotive, energetic, lyrical and, there can be no question, malevolent music, with an ever-present connection to nature and the themes of light and dark.
Between sun and moon, in the fleeting void where light and dark don't differ (..m/) - flow the pulsing veins that succour to the thirsting heart of Carnifex. And with this strength, given of twilight, we shall persevere; be it unto the bleak and infinite nether of time, to play metal that is true.
Oh and, sons of Avalon true, we like writing songs about slaying Frenchies and sending those Viking ragamuffin scumbags packing! So expect the occasional catchy number.
