About Carnivalesque

Launched in March 2008 and returning on the Last Friday of Every Month, Carnivalesque is the club night that will bombard the Brighton Coalition with Sensational Live Festival Vibes. Starting at 10:30 and ending at 4, we will cram 5 and 1/2 hours of enthralling live performances and DJ sets into each event. Not only this but we also guarantee to amaze our guests with a unique surprise act every month as well as presenting more weird and wonderful walkabout performances than you can shake a saxophone at!

We are taking inspiration from the sights and sounds of carnival as it is experienced on the streets of Notting Hill, cities of Romania, beaches of Trinidad and all over the globe. Don’t be fooled though, this is not a one dimensional club night. You can expect to find influences from many areas of performance including circus, theatre and burlesque. You will also discover a variety of musical genres – just take a look at our line up!

We want you to immerse yourself in the spirit and essence of the celebration.

We are also offering a £7 discounted entry for all those who are dressed to impress so think loud colours, head dresses, feathers, glitter and everything carnival. People can also become members of Carnivalesque by registering for free online at www.carnivalesque.co.uk for the same discount.

Our work is dedicated to raising the profile and awareness of traditions, cultures and communities through creative and celebratory events and activities. We are taking inspiration from our ten years of running the Global Beets festival, parades & carnivals all around the country to assist us in recreating the electrifying atmosphere of World music for the people, through the international language of music & dance.
