This is a page dedicated to the cult Glasgow synthpop band Carnival, who were around from 1994 to 2003.
They were a duo consisting of George Grant and TJ Joyner, they played many gigs in and around Glasgow.
The style was synthpop/electropop, they 95% of their material was their own although they always used to play at least one cover version at their gigs, the songs of which they covered included - Enola Gay (OMD), STop (Erasure), New Europeans & The Voice (Ultravox), Just Can't Get Enough (Depeche Mode) and Kissing The Machine (Elektric Music).
In 1997 they play an entire set of Gary Numan cover versions at Nice N Sleazy's club in Glasgow.

Depeche Mode tribute band Speak and Spell hit Brighton again with highlights from DMs vast back catalogue accompanied by backdrop projection films plus live and DJ support from Digitalis on Novemeber 1st at The Prince Albert, Trafalgar Street.
It's Nice to see that someone liked our music although the band is not together now Georgecarnival is still tinkering and is arranging a reunion which this line up of carnival will be doing a few songs. Thanks for the site it would be good to see what pics and stuff other fans have
Good to see something like this exist for the band itself, will have too arrange something at a later-date regarding adding their interview and reviews from Synthetic Vision. Look-forward to seeing what else will be added to the page - additional interviews, reviews, flyers, tickets, press cuttings etc, etc.
