Carnival of Cleavage!!
The Carnival of Cleavage is sometimes sexy sometimes silly sometimes sadistic take on Vaudeville, Burlesque and the classic Sideshow. Two uniquely talented and exceptionally beautiful women are the primary cast to this exciting troupe.
The original creator and our ringleader is the force that defeated duct tape, the pain proof, The Amazing Boobzilla. The Amazing Boobzilla is a true inheritor of the traditional sideshow, learning her trades under Red Stuart as well as other Carnies from a memory's forgotten past. She was one of Red's fastest learning pupils, mastering the sword swallowing in an astounding 7 minutes. As though that weren't impressive enough, we have yet to address her main attraction! An incredible 40 Double N bust which she uses in one of the most unique strong woman routines in the history of sideshow. Lifting steel chairs, cinderblocks and occasionally the stray midget every now and again.
Boobzilla performs a number of traditional sideshow acts including; The Steel hand, Fire eating, Fire breathing, Snake charming, Human blockhead, Dancing on broken glass, Bed of nails and much more. She has performed on Jerry Springer's pay per view twice and performed for the famous Penn & Teller.
The evocative, magical, sadistic minx, Darkkitty performs sights and illusions to baffle the mind and increase your heart rate. Although she began her career in illusive arts relatively recently, she is no stranger to the stage. Darkkitty has a long history in Theater, dance and stage production. On top of being an excellent illusionist, she is also skilled in many of the traditional sideshow stunts. She has been mentored by the Optical Illusionist, Bizzaro and performs a number of dazzling illusions including but not limited to; Razorblade consumption, Magic rope, Straight jacket escape, Candle/sword through the arm, and many more.
If that isn't enough, our busy Minx is the proud owner and operator of Darkkitty Productions which specializes in small to large scale concerts and events in Northeastern and Central Oklahoma.
This quirky troupe certainly provides more than death-defying feats and acts of legerdemain. The Carnival of Cleavage also features guest performers that bring Tease, Burlesque, Belly dancing, and of course other forms of sensuous comedy.
The Carnival of Cleavage as an all female burlesque inspired Vaudeville Sideshow is seeking the empowerment of women in entertainment to release their inhibitions and allow their creativity and natural beauty to shine. It was best put by our very own Boobzilla when she stated to Urban Tulsa weekly "The allure of the Carnival of Cleavage is about the embodiment of all women's beauty...regardless of race/age/size. What makes us so special and unique is the concept of bringing back the authentic art of tease, or the courage of displaying oneself on stage genuinely having fun and portraying themselves as who we really are. We play so many roles in life as a woman.......too many at times where we lose ourselves."
The Carnival of Cleavage has performed throughout Oklahoma performing at bars and clubs ranging from the local dives to well known venues as well as popular events such as Trick Con Treat 2008, Carnality Ball 2009 and Biting the Apple 2009. We have been featured in local rags such as Tulsa World, Urban Tulsa and the OKC Gazette and mentioned in OKC independent arts publication NONzine.
