The first album with the JCT band was released in 1977. The Caro version of the hitherto rarely covered song "Child of the Moon" by the Stones caused a sensation on the German pop scene .The song, the Stones version being more of a rock song, was converted into a ballad by Caro, and is generally the song one remembers, when remembering Caro "from the past". There are also many other great songs, notably "Julie", "I'm in trouble", "A Day in July," "The Trailer is Back" (this song tells of experiences and impressions during her stay at her sister's in the United States) and the (in retrospect) wonderfully prophetic "Ask My Agent" In 1978 Caro and the JCT Band won the German record price (predecessor of the ECHO) for the debut LP "Its Nothing But Higher" in the category "Best Newcomer National." Also the magazine Sounds recognized her work, and the "Music Poll 1978" showed the following rankings: best singer - 5th place (3.59%), best newcomer - 5th place (1.69%), most underrated solo artist - 7th place (2.21%) But Caro wanted to start a solo career and at the end of the year 1978 she dissolved the band.

Its Nothing But Higher Das erste Album mit der JCT Band wird 1977 veröffentlicht. Für Furore sorgt die Caro Version des bis dahin ehe selten gecoverten Stones Song “Child of the Moon”. Das Lied, in der Stones Version eher rockig, wird auf das Caro LP in eine Ballade umgewandelt, und ist allgemein das Lied an das man sich erinnert, wenn man von Caro “von früher” spricht. Es gibt aber auch viele anderen tollen Liedern, allen voran “Julie”, “I’m in trouble”, “A day in July”, “The trailer is back” (hier verarbeitet sich Erfahrungen bzw. Eindrücke die sie während ihres Aufenthaltes bei ihrer Schwester in den USA gemacht hat) sowie der (im nachhinein) herrlich prophetischen “Ask My Agent”"
