Ireland's music is as beautiful as the country itself. It's traditional tunes make up some of the world's most haunting melodies. The melodies of the blind Irish bard, Turlough O'Carolan are characteristic of the emerald isle yet maintain a unique melodic style. His music is mostly performed on solo harp and with simple accompaniment. This CD, however, uses various instruments to portray Carolan's music in a style that is more similar to a pub session at times and invokes the energy, grandeur, and beauty of Ireland.
