   About Carol Douglas
Many thanks for visiting my page... and to those mainstream and online Radio Stations who are playing my material. (in time I'll try to list them all here)

Please try to have an open mind if you browse my songs because they vary widely in mood and genre......rock, pop, folk, jazz, blues, country, musical theatre, good cause songs, ones for children, comedy, and thought provoking ones about tough issues.

Inspiration comes from personal experiences, picking up on things said in conversation, being given a challenge, or simply through being very moved or amused by something..

Around 30 of the songs listed at my main site Soundclick were written (words and music) before I started to collaborate (writing only the lyrics) and they were sung by Sarah White and Sarah Doggett.

AIRPLAY

My songs have now been broadcast on many regional BBC Radio stations as well as by TOM ROBINSON on BBC Radio 6. Also on the legendary RADIO CAROLINE ...by Tony Paul from Los Angeles and Pat Edison, on Radio Mytilini in Greece, and on Lakeland Radio

TOP FRIENDS INDEED-Mostly Co-writers

The first 19 have co-written with me. ...all very different as artists, but because my material is so diverse anyway, this works well and I value each one a great deal, especially as some are way out of my league. Lijah, Maria Daines and RedEyeC have kindly put their vocals down for me, and Double Vision performed some of my Country tracks extensively at Tamworth Country Music Festival, Australia.

DEVELOPMENT

I'm a long term member of the MCPS/PRS and have had songs published in the past as well as lots of plays on BBC Radio. Always looking for more exposure of my songs in the hope that eventually one will be released by a mainstream artist or used in a short film/documentary. If you're interested in any of my material please contact me via the link.

BACKGROUND

My past jobs have been as varied as my music is. When young I was a qualified ballet teacher with my own school for about 6 years while working as receptionist for an Architect. Other jobs have included Voluntary Probation Officer with the Police, North West Recruitment Co-Ordinator for an NVQ Training company, and production worker in a mentholated sweets factory!

Thank you dear Carol,

Yes time flies and it will soon be 5 years ago I
worked with your music.
Actually the first time in many years
I took on somebody elses song, and I liked doing that.
I enjoy playing and singing with Roine Stolt and his songs as well, as my days with Bonamici is now over.
It will be great fun to come to the US again.
My dad, brother and two cousins will attend
the LA gig, and that will be great fun!

With love and affection,
Nad

Ps. Yes, I agree - Yellow sky stands the test of time,
doesn't it? I am still proud of that song! So thank you for that.

Thank you Carol.
I am not a patient sort, but I just have to wait and hope.
If I ever assembled a best of collabs,Too Numb To Cry would be one of my first choices.
