Carole Beausaint Denis is a singer-songwriter born in London and currently based in Amsterdam. She has co-written songs with many prominent members of the UK music scene such as Nick Van Gelder (Ozric Tentacles, Jamiroquai, Akimbo) and two-time Grammy Award winner Phil Ramocon (Jimmy Cliff, Neneh Cherry, Keb’ Mo’). Her career as a singer has likewise been a highly successful one. Carole was a member of the London Community Gospel Choir and has done session work on many different projects, lending her unique vocals to recordings and live performances for big names like Jennifer Holiday and Michael Bolton. Carole’s style is hard to pinpoint as she effortlessly moves between Blues, Reggae, Funk and Rock. In some of her original work a clear influence of her Caribbean heritage can be discerned. Carole is equally at home in intimate acoustic settings and the large electric stage. In Amsterdam she is mainly known as the lead singer for her Funk/Rock jam band “EP4B” (Ear Piercing for Babies). Together with award-winning Dutch guitarist Joep Berkenbosch she has entered into a prolific songwriting partnership which the duo has successfully been able to project onto the stage. Gathering an international group of virtuoso musicians around them the two have been taking Amsterdam’s venues by storm since the band’s inception in 2006. Highlights in that first year included the band’s performance as closing act at the annual “Uitmarkt” Festival in the Dutch capital. In 2007 EP4B was the only European act selected to appear at the famous “Jam in the Dam” festival at the Melkweg in Amsterdam alongside big names from the US jam band scene: “Keller Williams” and “Galactic”. The latter were so impressed with Carole’s vocals and electrifying persona that she was invited to join them on stage for an impromptu jam session. Carole’s energetic performance and unique vocal quality leave a lasting impression on anyone who’s ever seen her perform. A highly charismatic artist she never fails to excite audiences with her dynamic stage presence and powerful voice. Carole Beausaint Denis is a name you will want to remember!
If you count your effort in the things you do, success will be deem difficult. Counting your effort will only make you weary. It will also give you all the reasons, to blame somebody else in order to justify giving up. Count your progress and it will mobilized your inner strength and will give you the energy to achieve and fulfill your destiny…Your Truly… Ras Meishak.
