I'm so over talking about me but.... have three Junos (Canadian Grammys) 4 gold, 1 platinum and 1 double platinum Album. I've contributed music to The L Word , General Idea Art AIDs and the fin de siecle, The Trailer Park Boys Movie, Queer As Folk, This Revolution, Miami Vice, countless MTV and VH1 shows and the (love it or hate it) cult classic Cruising which was just released on DVD. I wrote an auto biography entitled Anti Diva published by Random House. The film rights where optioned last year. True North Records/Linus just released Transcend in Canada with a bonus track Johnny Marr. I'm working on a new album!!
The Hit List Toronto Star CAROLE POPE, "Johnny Marr"
"Now I'm not religious, but you made me think I was." This potent
Canada-only bonus track, which caps off Pope's new solo album, evokes the hysterical worship The Smiths inspired, as well as touching on the complicated relationship between that band's two principals, Morrissey and Marr. As Pope so succinctly puts it, "Your indifference was an aphrodisiac."

Rock: Carole Pope – “Johnny Marr”
Taken from her new album Transcend, this rocker releases her best single in more than two decades. With shades of Siouxsie and the Banshees, this hypnotic story about the famous rift between The Smiths bandmates Morrissey and Johnny Marr puts Pope back on top. Why has this legend still not been named to the Order of Canada"

Thanks for addin' me Carole Pope. I am a big Rough Trade fan (thanks to an old SCTV rerun with ya on Pre-Teen World). Keep on rockin' and being so freakin' awesome. Ciao, Nate
New York? that is one awesome city, good vibe there for all types of music...look forward to catching you in Toronto when you come home this September, cheers and thanks for many, many years of great music
Thanks kid, you have amazed me for years, I hope you don't mind but there are a few times over the years when I used your guts when my own failed me. You are ammunition against complacency for me and I suspect quite a few others. Thanks, can't be easy some days
Hey Carole- Oooking forward to the new release- You sound sexier in your more recent work and I love the growls and the deeper sound. It's ALL good. Warm Regards, DEE
