My interests are my family...which includes my son, daughter-in-law, and 2 beautiful grandkids! And music...I don't play an instrument and I sure can't sing! But good, live, country music is the best way I know to stay happy and energized.
I've created a website as a way of sharing my interests. If you'd like, check it out at: www.TexasAndMusic.com
December, 2007, I started a blog...no special reason...just to see if I could. You can find it at www.CarolesCafe.com.
Music
I enjoy all music, but especially country music. Songs that tell a story with words I can understand.
Heroes
Besides my parents that worked so hard and my son and his family, my heroes are the young men and women serving our country in the armed forces, the police that daily put their lives on the line for us, the firemen that risk their own safety when there's an emergency, the EMS workers that help us when we can't help ourselves, the doctors and nurses that work so hard to keep us well, and the teachers who are in charge of helping our most precious assets...our children...learn. I thank God for all of them and pray He will keep them safe.
About me:
I have three 'loves' in my life...my family...Texas...live music.
In 2004, I started a website (www.TexasAndMusic.com) as a place to share all of my 'loves' through stories and and pictures. Since then, it has taken on a life of it's own...mostly about music.
I update it a lot.....or, not at all.....depending on life!
Now, I've decided to get on MySpace as well so people could get to know me a little better. Besides, I'm starting to see a bunch of my pictures appearing on here and figured that if they're here....I should be, too! :)
Who I'd like to meet: I'm lucky to have so many great friends and acquaintances, it's hard to think of others I'd like to meet. But, I think anyone involved in country music would be so interesting to visit with. Not just the well-known artists, but songwriters, producers, managers, venue owners, studio musicians, radio personalities....anyone that works in this industry that intrigues me so much. They all have such interesting stories and experiences they could entertain audiences for hours without ever picking up an instrument or singing a song.
