Carol Hatchett is a Singer, Songwriter, Dancer, Actress, and Choreographer currently residing in Los Angeles since moving west from her native Chicago, Illinois.
Carol was one of the infamous "Harlettes", Bette Midler's backup Singer/Dancers, touring across the country and appearing in Bette's Emmy Award winning "Diva Las Vegas" HBO Special. She has worked with Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds, Brian McKnight, Monica, and Beyonce Knowles. She is also the founder and lead singer of the band "Velvet Sundae", currently performing around Los Angeles.
Carol has appeared in the films "Ali", "Legally Blonde" and "Legally Blonde : Red, White and Blonde", recorded with composer/recording artist Stanley Clarke, choreographs for recording artist Shelia E., and has worked with Directors Tom Hanks, Debbie Allen, P.J. Hogan and choreographers Toni Basil and Fatima Robinson.
Carol was nominated as "Featured Actress In A Musical" in the 2007 L.A. Stage Alliance Ovation Awards for "Sophsticated Ladies" at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center. The honors — "celebrating excellence in theatre" in Los Angeles — took place on Nov.12 at the Orpheum Theatre in downtown L.A..
Carol is currently performing in THE SHOWGIRL MUST GO ON with Mrs. Bette Midler at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
