Once in a while we are given a brief escape from the soulless, plastic, meaningless marketing that invades our stereos and heads, like some unstoppable virus.
Queen Elvis has managed to do this with a passion that is almost unbelievable. Former members of Big Bag of Sticks, Caroline and Colin have helped lay the foundations of modern folk music in Ireland. Their experiences both in music and in life shine through, and lead the listener on a journey that touches on the real life joys, upsets, and the political strife that shape our lives on a daily basis. Caroline's insanely beautiful voice is complemented by the exotic rhythms that are produced by one of the finest guitarists in the country. I suggest that you go and listen to this "Queen Elvis" and I promise it is an experience you will never forget.

Doors are at 8.30 and admission is €10, a small price to pay to see the citys two premier acoustic acts don't you agree? On the off chance you disagree, come down on wednesday next to the Cobblestone, Smithfield Dublin and we'd be happy to discuss it.
