Caroline graduated with a postgraduate degree in Classical music in 2001 (Philippe Graffin, Peter Thomas). During her studies she won several prizes for chamber music under the guidance of Rohan de Sarum (Arditti Quartet) and also worked professionally as a free-lance musician. She worked as a session musician for various groups including The Albion Band and Charlie Landsborough, and played English and Irish folk music, contemporary music, pop and jazz.
After winning a scholarship from the Leverhulme Trust she dedicated herself to the study of Argentinean tango music with Gustavo Beytelmann and Juan Jose Mosalini.
She joined the Mala Pinta quartet in 2003 with whom she performs frequently in Europe including the Paradiso rock palace, the National Portrait Gallery in London, Radio Classic FM, Norfolk & Norwich Festival 2008, Vra Tango Festival in Denmark, as well as concerts and milongas in Germany, Switzerland, France, Belgium and Scotland.
With the tango and contemporary music duo Revirado she has played in the Concertgebouw live on Radio 4, Belgium, England and Australia.
Since moving to Paris in 2003 she has joined the Septeto La Academia whose line-up includes the composer and guitarist Alejandro Schwarz (co-founder of El Arranque) and the bandoneonist Gilberto Pereyra. Caroline toured with Daniel Melingo performing in France, Belgium, Norway and Sweden in festivals such as Le Printemps de Bourges, Nice Jazz Festival, Oslo World Music Festival and on Radio Latina (Paris).
As a freelance musician in Tango, contemporary music and French Chanson she has worked with musicians Pablo Marquez (Ensemble AlmaViva), Mihi Kim (Ensemble Multilaterale), Victor Simon (Ensemble Montreal Tango),Victor Villena (El despues), Osvaldo Calo and Amelita Baltar, Ars Nova, Grand Tango Orchestra de Juan Jose Mosalini, Gustavo Gancedo sextet, Les Fleurs Noirs and Lenni Jabour.
In 2006 she won the Stephen Arlen Memorial Award with which she went to the International Tango Festival of Buenos Aires and took lessons in tango violin with Pablo Agri, Ramiro Gallo, Leonardo Ferreira and Mauricio Marcelli.
She currently holds the post of violin teacher at the British School of Paris. This year also sees the launch of her group The Firebyrd String Quartet.
She plays a Collin Mezin French violin.
