I love kayaking in the summer, swimming and walking and riding my bike, walking the dog and drinking with friends which seems to be my best pastime. A love of good comedy and seeing two of my bestest friends Tony and Herman headline Jongleurs on a regular basis as the Raymond and Mr Timpkins revue is the best night out a gal could have. Meeting other mad, but mostly lovely, comedians is a great past time too. I love drawing and painting when I have time to work on my own stuff but pretty blessed to do it as a living. Having a studio a few steps from the beach is a blessing too. I love my village and all in it. Life is good! infact love it in general...exercise plays a heavy part in my life and I've started running. Did my first two races last year 5 & 10k! Realised I hate competitions but glad I've done it.
  • Music

I love love love Sigur Ros and any live music that makes my spine tingle. (I'm lucky to be friends with the Angus and Julia Stone crew and I love their sounds so very much)......I like anything from local acoustic sets down the pub...Jamie Lawson, Pete Bruntnell, Fionn Regan, Martin Harley and Chris Smith being a few recent, to seeing Kate Rusby in the Hall for Cornwall, to seeing Muse at the eden Sessions or Radiohead at V...best gigs ever have been the Buzzcocks, the Posies, Arab Strap, Basement Jaxx!, Muse, Foofighters live are awsome too, Rocket from the Crypt in Aus, Pulp, PJ Harvey, Jeff Buckley and Isobelle from drugstore (awsome awsome gig!) I even got to talk to Jeff!! he was tiny!..., Joanna Newsom at Greenman...along with Battles and Seasick Steve who was the best of the festival. Bristol based Babel are great http://www.myspace.com/babelbristol . I loved anything that was on 4AD at college...love Vaughan Olivers design just as much.( great inspiration as a student) Tunes currently on my ipod are Fionn Regan, Jamie Lawson, Muse and Antony and the Johnsons. Loving Blocparty too. An old friends band Cranes is pretty cool too. Josh Rouse always worth a listen. Mogwai are an old favourite, Scott Matthews and Kate Walsh newcomers to the ipod and always got room for a bit of Doves or Jet. Always looking for something new though. I have many friends who write and play their own music which is fantastic....inc Seatman Separator, Caroline Martin, Chris Smith and Couchfinger, Stocks and Powell & updownleftrightfire, Angus and Julia Stone, Orangebird, Jamie Lawson...go google them...x other artiiiists are....Arcade Fire, Flaming Lips, Mercury Rev, Kings of Leon, Underworld, Gemma Hayes, Jim O'Rourke, Turin Brakes, Leftfield, Richard James (aka Aphex Twin), Wagon Christ, The Bees, Beta Band, anything 4AD, the Beatles (of course!) • Television

what's with all these reality shows? purhhhh! turn the digital to BBC 6music is what I say!
  • Books

Calvin and Hobbs is the best! and welcome in my Christmas Stocking anyday...(Note to Mum and Dad!)
  • Heroes

SIMON PEGG.......I want his babies!...People who live life to the full, no holes barred. People who inspire others to have goals and those who have goals and strive to achieve them everyday. They don't even have to be life changing or big ones!?.... I also actually think Jamie Oliver has a good point. If only the government and parents thought so too?! No real famous heroes. My Mum and Dad would fit the bill. I really like Zack Braffs! he's famous!?

About me:

Caroline lives in Cornwall and has been an illustrator since 1997, with over 30 books and hundreds of cards under her belt. She has been illustrating children's books since 1999. Born in Cornwall, Caroline has lived away from home for 13 years, living in Bath, Bristol and Portsmouth. Her love of the Cornish coast, her family and friends has brought her back to her roots to settle. Exhibiting her paintings on canvas in both Bath and Cornwall is a welcome break to the pressure of tight deadlines in children's books. Her goal is to continue to Illustrate, and later write children's books and own her own gallery. Below you can see two animations she did for Angus and Julia Stone last year and this summer. She is currently working on some Itune idents for the band and also the new video for Hollywood. (working with Andrew the lovely animator in Aus!) ...Just a Boy and The Beast which have just been nominated for Aria Artisan and Music awards in Aus! visit her website www.carolinepedler.co.uk links... www.seasmithimages.co.uk, Bodysurfing champions in Aggie......... http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=9ywgZOItPvA ..
