Caroline Picard, The Cajun Queen’s
CD "Live at the Laff Stop" entered for a nomination for "Best Comedy Album" for the 51st Grammys.
When Caroline Picard hits the stage with her signature red boots, her audience has about six seconds to get on her wavelength. Caroline let’s them know right away that they are about to experience something really refreshing - a real person that is comfortable with her beliefs and has no problem making you laugh at them. Once Caroline is on stage it’s crystal clear that you have come to the house of "The Queen" and you will play by her rules.
Her "don’t give a damn" attitude is revitalizing, especially in the world of female comedy. Her style is all her own and can be compared to no one. If you want politically correct, do not come to her show, but if you want the truth, come on in, grab a drink and enjoy the ride!
"I know that everyone in that showroom works damn hard for their money. When they come to see my show, they expect and deserve a show!
I like my show to feel like a rock concert! The generation I come from loved those hard hitting, slam the guitar down, hard drinking fun concerts. It’s my mission to make people in my generation remember what they did and the fun they had. Just because we hit 50 it doesn’t mean we have to lie down and die, HELL NO! And maybe we can give the younger folks in the crowd a glimpse of where mom and dad came from.
For the first time in history, baby boomers out number the youth of America. I think it’s time we take our country back. No more ’time-outs’ for the little darlings. A slap on the back of the head is what they need so we can put some sense back into their brains. Hell, there’s not a person from my generation that doesn’t have a head injury".
Not only is Caroline a favorite in the clubs are the nation, she is also a favorite with the troops overseas. She will going back to Iraq in April, this will be her 14th overseas tour. Her credits in the industry include XM Radio, Sirius Radio, AOL Radio, National Lampoon Radio. In all of these stations she is one of the most requested and possibly the cause of quiet a few car accidents. Her film credits are Actor/Associate Producer on "Fist Full of Pills" which was presented an "Honorary Award" at The Just For Laughs international festival in Montreal, in 2005. She also acted in "Kill Whitey". Both of these films were written and directed by Tom Hester and Slade Ham. Her comedic awards include Comic of the Year 2002 for Hysterical Management and the Award of Excellence given to her by Hysterical for her professionalism and work.
Caroline has just signed on with www.HaHaas.com as one of their new artists. Through them her two newest CD’s are available through CD Babies and itunes. You can get to both through her website at www.carolinepicard.com.

Nothin' yet, but I'm working on it. I'm Cajun, they have no idea what to do with me, plus, I think I scare them.

Albums
Bitch is My Good Mood, Just Running My Mouth, My House, My Rules, and Live At The Laff Stop, which has entered in the "Best Comedy Album" category for the 51st Grammys.
Traveling and entertaining the people around the world. I love to read, blah, blah, blah, enough of that crap. I'm Cajun, I love cooking, drinking, give me my Coors Lite and Crown Royal, I also like good wine, nothing with animals, bicycles or in a box, and yeah, I like French wines. And of course "Raising Hell". I'm only interested in giving 200% on the stage and making sure everybody goes home with a smile on their face.
Music
Motown, Rock n'Roll Baby, real country, not some of the fluff crap they are playing today. I'm of the generation of Willie, Waylon and the boys. Hank Williams, Jr and his Daddy, Patsy Cline, etc. I'm starting to pay attention to Gretchen Wilson, Big n' Rich, and Kid Rock. But, I still go back to "old school". Funk still rocks, Earth, Wind, & Fire, that's my boys right there. I've got 3 decades of great music to pull from, there's not enough space to mention all the greats. Janis, Zepplin, The Stones, The Who, the Jim's, Morrison and Hendricks, Seger, Rod Stewart, Neil Diamond, the Doobies, The Allman Brothers, 38 Special, Blue Oyster Cult, Metallica, AC/DC, Guns & Roses, ZZ Top, Pantera, Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight and the Pips, Ted Nugent, Smokey Robinson, all the Do-Wop Groups, BB King, Bo Diddley, the Four Tops, the Temps, Otis Redding, Al Green, Marvin Gaye, Wilson Pickett, James Brown, the Supremes, The Jackson Five, Michael (when he was black) Jackson, Etta James, Johnny Cash, Reba, Dolly, Toby Keith, Gretchen Wilson, Big & Rich. Funk, lots of Funk, Funkadelic, Tavares, the Isley Brothers, Ohio Players, Commadores, Gloria Gaynor, Donna Summers, George Benson, War, Gino Vanelli, Earth, Wind and Fire. Give me some Jazz, Dixie Land, Zydeco, Cajun music, Zacherey Richard, Wayne Toups, Rockin Doopsie, Steve Riley, Clifton Chanier (the 1st King of Zydeco) and life is good. There is way too much great music from my generation to mention here. And, if you ever get a chance to listen to the Boogie Kings, "Blue Eyed Soul", straight from the swamps of Louisiana. Dr. John, Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, Barbara Allen, Allen Toussant, Irma Thomas, Fats Domino, Subduds, Cowboy Mouth, Johnny Sketch and The Dirty Notes (just heard them, yeah u right), The Rebirth Brass Band, Harry Conick, Jr., in and all NOLA music.
Movies
I love something that makes me laugh.
Television
All CSIs, all Law & Orders, Monk, the Dead Zone, Grey's Anatomy, My Name is Earl. Really, anything with great writing like Arrested Development. Also King of the Hill, The Family Guy, Simpsons. That's enough.
Books
Way too many to mention. But I do love a good mystery, conspiracy, if it has any logic to it. My personal favorites though are Nelson DeMille, Tom Clancy, Vince Flynn, and James Lee Burke.
Heroes
Jesus Christ and God. After that my Mom, my sister, Becky, Carol (my northern sista)and all my friends that have put up with me and supported me over the years, both in Comedy and in the civilian world. Oh, one more, Tom Hester, possibly the best writer and comic that I have the previlige of working with, and also he let's me call him a friend.
That's just in family and comedy, there are many more. John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Eleanor Roosevelt, Theadore Roosevelt, Harry S. Truman, Einstein, Thomas Edison, Susan B. Anthony, The Wright Brothers. I grew up in the greatest times, everyday things were changing and being invented, so yeah, there are way too many too mention.
And our men and women in the Military worldwide, as well as police officers, firemen, and school teachers. They give so much and receive so little.
About me: "God in All His Glory Created the Woman, Man in all his ignorance created the Bitch". And that my friends is the truth--The Queen has spoken.
I've been called "The Janis Joplin" of Comedy, "The Devil in Red Boots" and my personal favorite "The Wicked Witch of the West, with Ruby Red Boots". You will know all you need to know once you see one of my shows or listen to my CD "My House, My Rules" or download "Live at the Laff Stop". I have no tolerance for stupid, no matter who you are. I listen to no one born in the 80's. Why? We have absolutely nothing in common. For more info on "The Queen" go to www.carolinepicard.com, it will explain even more. Check my schedule to see when I will be doing a show near you. If you have XM, you can request me there "uncensored" on Channel 150. Go www.carolinepicard.com and make the request. I'm on Sirius too, Raw Dog and Blue Collar. Go for it.
"LIVE AT THE LAFF STOP" HAS BEEN ENTERED IN THE "BEST COMEDY ALBUM" CATEGORY FOR THIS YEAR'S GRAMMYS.
