Thanks for checking out these songs from my new project. You may recognize some or all of these tunes . . I have taken great melodies and put them into a crossover-jazz context. (In arranging and recording these songs, I composed and improvised for the first time – both very scary and very fun - woohoo!)
Thanks to all the people who are supporting this project with their ideas, time and talent. (Tom Saviano, Randy Waldman, Vinnie Colaiuta, Dave Carpenter, Thom Rotella, Kevin Ricard, Tom McCauley, Neel Hammond, Vanessa Freebairn-Smith, Cameron Stone, Briana Bandi, Mom, John, Quest)
I’d love to hear your thoughts on my project . . . Thanks again for listening!

Caroline Campbell made her solo debut with the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra when she was eight years old and went on to solo with the Cleveland Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Indianapolis Symphony, and many others. She performed in Carnegie Hall as a soloist and as concertmistress of the New York String Orchestra and with the Brandenburg Ensemble. After being nominated by the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts, she was selected as a Presidential Scholar, honored at a White House ceremony, and soloed in Washington D.C.'s Kennedy Center. She has won top awards in national and international competitions and performed throughout the US and in Canada, England, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, and the Czech Republic.
Caroline is “an artist in her own right” and “has that magical ingredient, charisma,” one reviewer raved. “Ms. Campbell pulled out all the stops and blew us away with her easy virtuosity – rapid scales and leaps, double-note passages, and harmonics so magical and in tune that they took your breath away.”
After her violin studies at the Cleveland Institute of Music, Caroline transferred to Stanford University, where she studied computer programming, logic, linguistics, and psychology. In 2004, she graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a BS in Symbolic Systems and an MA in Sociology.
Caroline currently has an active solo and chamber music performance schedule. Since her move to Los Angeles two years ago, she has also enjoyed LA’s popular music scene, where she has been featured onstage playing solos with artists ranging from Garth Brooks to Josh Groban to Michael Buble. Her versatile string quartet, Sonus Quartet, is in high demand both on stage and in the studio (www.myspace.com/sonusquartet). Caroline can be heard on recent albums of major recording artists such as Beyonce and Andrea Bocelli, on numerous major movie scores such as Spiderman 3 and Pirates of the Caribbean, and seen on television in shows such as The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, the Grammy Awards, and American Idol.
Caroline regularly donates her time to benefit good causes, particularly music outreach and music education. She performs annual benefit recitals with proceeds going to music programs in public schools, and volunteers with CoachArt, a Los Angeles organization bringing the arts to children with life-threatening illnesses.
