About me: Hey, it’s Carolyn. For the first twenty-six years of my life, I was a compulsive journal writer. I couldn’t imagine leaving home without a notebook and a pen. But then I decided to make a career out of all my angst, and I began writing novels and short stories for teenagers.
I’m the author of The Earth, My Butt, and Other Big Round Things, Vegan Virgin Valentine, and Love and Other Four-Letter Words. My new novel, Guyaholic, came out on August 14, 2007! Guyaholic is about a seventeen-year-old girl named V Valentine who is the queen of meaningless hookups…until she meets the boy who changes everything (and then she ruins it, but you’ll have to read the book to find out what happens after that). It’s part-love story, part-road trip story, and partially inspired by the time in high school when I was hit in the head by a hockey puck and fell into the lap of a very cute guy.

hello i just want to thank you for writing such an extraordinary book THE EARTH, MY BUTT AND OTHER BIG ROUND THINGS it is a really inspiring book and i could really relate to the occuring problems. it help get me through the hard times of being a teenager and i totally fell in love with all the characters.
