Most recently Garbage! Love those guys.......I have that edgy sound too ...Anastacia!.....she is the one singer I have always looked up to for her original sound, strength and passion for her art. Also, Amy Lee for her "unique" sound and long notes that she is known for holding :)......Bonnie Raitt for her soulful, blues sound. I am not known for my "blues style" of singing but I love her songs. Listen to the lyrics one of these days....they actually make sense! And.....through the 80's I truly grew up with Madonna. I have to give her props for being the lady I tried to sing like for years then realized I have my own style and I need to stick with it.

That's a tough one.....I have been told I sound similar to a few different artists but I think i just sound like myself. Refreshing, rocking and cool! Kind of like a great drink!!!......easy on the ears like Amy Lee from Evanescence I would say but alternative like Garbage and Pink...You should hear me live its way better cuz I dance around like crazy!:)
My name is Carolyn....I am a singer/songwriter/guitar player. I was born in Bergen County, NJ and grew up in the Poconos to two great Italian parents.....I started playing the violin when I was 10 years old and stuck with it for 12 years.....I sang in show choir in high school but never let myself really blossom until after graduating college and the rest is history....JUST WANT TO TAKE A MOMENT TO GIVE CREDIT TO BOB STROHL AND LUCIDIA FOR BEING IN MY DEMO SONGS ABOVE. I AM CURRENTLY WORKING with a great band and recently finished a DEMO cd with covers and originals of my own on it.....I love the guys in my band now.....Dave and Dave! You guys rock!!
I have been playing out for the last 8 years. I have been in several bands....from the Classic Rock band "In A Pinch", to the all original Progressive Rock band "Lucidia", Soul rock band "Plan B", as well as the easy listening trio "Rabid Little Miss" to name a few. I have performed at Musikfest in 2003, 2004, 2007 and 2008. I love to sing all different kinds of music from Top 40, to Rock....depends on the mood :) I also auditioned in 2005 and 2008 for American Idol! The main thing is I love to sing and perform. All of my close friends and family have been there for all of my performances over the years and I really appreciate their support......Mom, Dad, Rich, Ellen, Diane, Janelle, Chris and many others (too many to name!) Thank you so much.....and thank you God for giving me the strength, will and persistence to keep on doing what I love to do! IT AIN'T EASY!!! It's a tough business out there but in the end when I get up in the morning I want to know that I am truly doing what I love to do as my job and that is SING !!!!! Love you guys!
