I am a professional violinist. As a result of competitive auditions, since 1966, I have performed with many orchestras and chamber music groups. I have also played extensively as a violin soloist, and my experience includes the following. I was concertmaster of my junior high/high school orchestra. I was first violinist in the Montgomery County Junior/Senior Youth Orchestra. and as a member of the Senior Youth Orchestra, I participated in the First International Festival of Youth Orchestras with performances in St. Moritz, Switzerland and Vienna, Austria. I played in American Youth Performs at Carnegie Hall. I played in the Wolf Trap Academy National Orchestra at Wolf Trap Farm Park in Vienna, Virginia for two summers. As a professional violinist, I have performed at various locations in Washington, DC for big receptions, weddings, political fundraisers, etc. I also played in the Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra and the Filene Center Orchestra at Wolf Trap Farm Park. And I played as a violinist (popular/Broadway tunes, strolling) on many occasions for the Gene Donati Orchestra. I now play as a strolling violinist for the Miles Stiebel Orchestra ("Strolling Strings"). In addition to professional engagements in the MD/DC area, I play in NYC on a very frequent basis at venues including Birdland for Jim Caruso's "Cast Party" on Monday evenings and at Butterfield 8 for Trudi Mann's musical showcase on Sundays. In NYC, I can also be seen playing for the musical salon on Sunday evenings at the famed Algonquin Hotel. And I also play at Don't Tell Mama, the Metropolitan Room and La Mediterranee with singer/pianist Mitch Kahn. I also have the pleasure and honor of playing tunes with legendary "lounge" pianist Irving Fields at Nino's Tuscany Restaurant on various evenings. And I have also played for the musical salon in the Oak Room at the Algonquin Hotel. I have also played "blues" violin with "Montana" in Baltimore, Maryland. I am eminently qualified in classical and popular "strolling" styles, and I also improvise. I also trained on voice for several years, and my experience there includes a performance under Leonard Bernstein. I've worked with many well-known conductors and celebrities including Leonard Bernstein, Alexander Schneider, Morton Gould, Beverly Sills, Anna Moffo, Rudolph Nureyev, Irving Fields, and Diana Ross, to name just a few. Part of my musical resume is posted at www.violinist.com under "Maryland" violinists in the "Directory." I am always available for musical engagements in the MD/DC/VA areas and in NYC.
As Christmas approaches I would like to wish you and your family a very special Festive celebration.
"Beautiful is the moment in which we understand that we are no more than an instrument of God; we live only as long as God wants us to live; we can do only as much as God makes us able to; we are only as intelligent as God would have us be." Archbishop Oscar Romero, from his last homily, March 23, 1980.
I hope you like my Christmas card and poem and additional card / pictures. May your love “glow.”

“Candle in the window.”
“A light as pure as an Angels Glow A gentle breeze sparks a flickering light to Heavens Path. Through the open window flies a brown majestic Moth He dances round the table cloth Fluttering flirtatiously enticed to the flame Like water to a cloud and flowers in the rain.
An aura of starlight Glowing embers of radiance so clear You take away the darkness The hopelessness, the fear.
Calming, graceful, romancing, dancing on the window sill A light for my memories Inspiration for my dreams A candle by the open window God Bless the Grace you give me A moment so serene.”

“Dance”
“The expression of love, grace an elegance A movement of intimacy, empowerment, romance Riding the crest of an ocean wave Gliding through the air on a breezy day My body on Earth my soul reaches away To Heaven. The religion of rhythm A moth to a candle A key to a slave of Pleasure and pain I take my first emancipated steps Freedom This is my chance. That’s where I go When I Dance.”

“My Cat.”
“My cat leaps around the garden fence Pouncing on anything that moves There’s no defence Sleeps for hours and sometimes days Bathing in the summer rays Hibernating in the winter cold Prowling, howelling meowing so bold My cat is quick, sleek, reactions unique If I ever return as a bird or a mouse then I am going to leave my house When I am due to travel away my cat sulks for days Moody before and then turns his back as I return to the door Feeding him food from a tin Is considered by my feline friend a cardinal sin He sits and looks at me in disgust This is not what I want for my breakfast. “Give me lean chicken, salmon or fresh beluga Or I’ll slash the side of your chair like Freddy Kruger My claws are sharp I will reduce your coat To the texture and look of an old Nanny goat I go to sit in my favourite chair In front of the fire and guess whose there! Asleep in my bed I awake with surprise As a purring nose pokes me straight in the eyes! I now understand the word perfection Is all about my cats affection Even when he wreaks the place I live A look from those saucer green eyes makes me forget and forgive. My cat has a spiritual link, a supernatural perception Something that humans have no connection I can only watch look and admire all of that Oh…I forgot to mention. My cat is An Acrobat.”

“Passion Flower”
“Love is a passion flower It may not last forever While she’s here She’s dressed as natures Finest Princess A radiant, wondrous creation A garden hostess To grace the autumn wonderland A cascade of colours that nature gave To brighten, enlighten and bless our lives Before the winter wasteland Whose darkness does arrive
Love can last forever Through the glorious rebirth of spring To the shining sunburst of summer I know she will return In the autumn clouds Bloom and grow As the wind blows The leaves float Gently to the ground I catch the fall
Love is a passion flower The greatest gift of all.”

“My Desire.” Part 2. “Touch.”
“Through the woodland glade You appeared, a personification, of everything beautifully feminine A glorious Goddess, man made, but designed with Heavenly grace. You smiled and walked towards me. Kissed me with your sensual, soft, succulent lips Ran your finger tips down my back and up my spine The scent of your body was unique A magnificent fragrance of female hormones With a faint touch of honeysuckle, cinnamon and patchouli I would never forget this moment in time Your skin had the exquisite texture of warmed porcelain Your eyes, your hair, where passion would not dare to go I touched you You pushed me back. ”No”. I was yours and if you were mine It would be on your terms in your time. You danced with me You danced for me A pirouette that twirled us to the floor. You sat astride me, caressed me, undressed me Consumed me, I had never felt like this before. The way you moved on me was ecstasy The perfect rhythm and I never wanted to let this go. You played me like a guitar, every passionate note A crescendo of the flamenco. You whispered “I wanted you from the very first moment you looked at me. I burn for you and the power of my love is like a raging sea. We’ve only just begun. This time you’re mine. Your turn will come.”
