Carolyn Traylor began singing while attending Texas Southern
University under the tutelage of the late Olivia Branch Walker. In
1986 she returned to Greenville where she felt God leading her in
a ministry of music.
Carolyn toured Switzerland and Italy in 1995 with the Late Great
Willie Neal Johnson, Roy and Esther Wooten and a few members of
the Mississippi Mass Choir. In 1997 she appeared on Bobby Jones
Gospel which led to an invitation by Dr. Jones to join him, New Life
and the Nashville Super Choir for their 1998 and 1999 Easter tours
of Terni, Italy. She was invited to attend the 15th Annual Chicago
Gospelfest in June 1999 where she sang with the Queen of Gospel,
Albertina Walker, as a tribute to the late Thomas Dorsey.
Carolyn was a guest soloist on Evangelist Dorothy Norwood's
Grammy-nominated CD entitled "Ole Rickety Bridge." She was also
guest soloist on projects by Christopher Brinson and the Savannah
Mass Choir. She then joined forces with renowned gospel legend
Evangelist Dorothy Norwood and celebrated pianist Derrick Lee of
Bobby Jones Gospel, on her debut project on Malaco Records,
"Don't Wanna Be Left Behind."
Since then, Carolyn has been blessed with the opportunity to
share the platform with such notable artists as Rev. Donnie
McClurkin, Rev. Shirley Caesar and many more. This has allowed
her to season herself as a vocalist, working with great pioneers in
Gospel.
Now here in the year 2006 the story continues with her new sopomore release "There's A Story Behind My Praise"
