Carol is lucky to be singing with the Kenni Holmen Trio for the holidays and big events. Check out Kenni Holmens Trio website for more details. Other people she plays with are BillyZ (husband and bass player), TimmyZ- on drums, Scooter Nelson, drums, Tim Berry- congas, Wayne Cullinen - on everything, and Tara B on keys and vocals. Carol does many solo gigs, but loves to have any or all of these people joining her to do their thing and make it a great night of entertainment. Also joining her at many shows is the great and funny Bill Greenwood and Tami.
Influences
Old and new influences: Doobies, The Dan, Eagles, Eva Cassidy, Diana Krall, Colbie Collait, Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Bonnie Raitte, Melissa Manchester, Phoebe Snow, Maria Moldauer, Al Jarreau, John Klemmer, James Taylor, Michael Johnson, Kenny Rankin, Hall and Oats, Average White Band, Little River Band, Stevie Wonder, Amy Grant, Maggie Becker, Sheryl Crow, Jonny Lang, Air, Cold Play, John Mayer, Beck, Jamiroquai and many more! I'm just startin to like country....some country, not all country...been allergic to it up til now. Still makes me itch alittle...in fact, let just say no.
Sounds Like
Alittle schizophrenic. She has a very deep warm tone and can
either sing it loud and nasty or add 75% air and blow you away.
Her new stuff sounds like mellow roast with alittle cream.
Carol has been singing and performing on all kinds of stages her entire life. She started out on her fathers church platform, sang on touring choir risers, rock concert flatbeds, park bandshells to many varieties of coffeehouse stages and restaurant corners. She performs regularly as a solo artist and is in various groups as lead and backup singer, songwriter, keyboard and guitarist. Her unique style and passion for singing and writing make it impossible to label her, since she tailors her sound to fit the lyrics she writes, which is about everything from soup to nuts.... literally! A little funky, a little mellow, a wannabe drama queen; she tells stories in and around her songs that make you laugh and cry. Along with her many originals, she sings pop songs from eras past to present hits of today for a full night of crowd pleasing favorites. She has done music for films, childrens videos, company promos, jingles, churches, schools and she is a regular performer / speaker for MOPS Intl and many local coffee/wine clubs. Currently she is booking holiday and big event concerts with the Kenni Holmen Trio. They are a stand alone and be wowed out of your mind band, so she is beyond excited to be working now with them. Check out Kennis website for bio details. Her other work includes professional brainstorming and she owns a decorating business. She substitute teaches at a local school and also teaches a performance class at her church. She's married to her bass player BillyZ, who is also in the Tony Ortiz Band. Every once in a while she will throw on BGV's when they are performing.

Hi Carol, sorry for the slow resonse. I just never get on myspace anymore! School is rough and eating up all my time, but in May it's all over with. We still have the lot and plan on having it forever unfortunately! As far as things at home, crazy, crazy as usual. Just trying to keep my head above water with school and the kids and the house. Not much time to spend riding Roscoe or anything. Tenley has been riding him and working with him and has done a fabulous job. How's everything there? Are you super busy this Christmas season or have things slowed down for you with the economy?
Carol, Things went well at Auburn. I enjoy singing the classic hymns. If it was good enough for Elvis, it's good enough for me! Larry C. and I might do a gig at School of the Wise I, he reading his poetry and I playing songs. We did that once before at the Mocha Monkey. Do you know Todd McCormick? He has a regular gig at School of the Wise II. He and I jam every once in awhile. Look forward to catching your act! Pete
Carol! Thanks back at you - I think it's safe to say that we will indeed share a stage - as soon as I am able to think about something other than the new record! Best, LR
You can download tracks from Justin McRoberts' newest release Deconstruction for ANY PRICE YOU WANT. Or tell a few friends about the record and get them for FREE!

Carol, you are so fantastic- such a talent and an honor to have as a friend! I would love to do a show with you anytime and I am all about girl power! lol Woo! Hope you're doing wonderfully and staying warm!
I know what you mean honey! And everytime we think winter is over and spring is here......BAM! we get hit again with that blast of arctic air. I wanna get outside!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think they are getting worse every year. Thankfully we didn't have the amount of snow that we had last year. But everyone around here is sick of it. It's time to warm up. Other than that things here are going pretty good. Still no interest in the lot, but you know how that market is going. I think we will have to drop the price again and just take a big loss on it. :(
It's true, I am so lucky to be singing and with just the best group of people I know! Can you just feel the joy I feel when I am up there? Blessed beyond measure, for sure. Thank you so much my friend for coming tonight. It was so good to have your smiling face there. Talk to you soon.
