I love chick rock, alternative, old school metal, love songs from the '70s, rock operas, concept albums, and yes, the occasional Hot 100 single. Also: Nirvana, Scissor Sisters, Jay-Z, anything Jack White does, Placebo, Depeche Mode, Gwen Stefani, the Cure, Bow Wow Wow, Black Sabbath, AC/DC, good mash-ups, Bjork, The Bee Gees, comedy CDs by David Cross, Dane Cook, Mitch Hedberg. Donna Summer, Joan Jett, Debbie Harry, Pat Benatar, Shirley Manson, Peeping Tom, Regina Spektor, and almost all things '90s: Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, the Verve, Oasis, etc.
My Favorite Movies
In the past year or two, I loved: Running with Scissors, Junebug, Notes on a Scandal, The Cat’s Meow. Favorite weird movie of all time is Tom Noonan's "What Happened Was." My Favorite TV Shows
Everything. I can’t even list them. But, gun to my head, I’d have to say these are some faves: House, The Office, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, The Unit, The Shield, The Soup (Joel McHale is the funniest man on television), Everything on Animal Planet, but especially the series “Growing Up…”, , Absolutely Fabuluos re-runs, all reality shows, marathons of MTV's "The Real World," all entertainment shows, Conan O’Brien’s monologues, Daily Show with Jon Stewart, CNN’s Nancy Grace, Intervention, most ‘fat husband/hot wife’ sitcoms but especially the King of Queens.

Carrie Borzillo has written about music for such music magazines as Billboard, Spin, RollingStone.com and Alternative Press. She has covered the celebrity world, most recently for People, where she served as a staff correspondent before resigning to work on her next book, as well as Us Weekly and Teen People. She is currently the Miss Truth Hurts advice columnist for SuicideGirls.com and is working on her third book.
The writer also penned the sex and relationship advice column “Dr. Love” for Gene Simmons defunct Gene Simmons Tongue magazine and the “Miss Truth” gossip column for the also-defunct award-winning allstarnews.com. She has appeared as a music and/or relationship expert on MTV, VH1, Fuse, E!, CNN, and MSNBC among others.
Borzillo's first book, Eyewitness Nirvana: The Day by Day Chronicle, was released in 2000 and the expanded Nirvana: The Day to Day Illustrated Journals was released in 2003, both via Carlton Books.
Her second book, "Cherry Bomb: The Ultimate Guide to Becoming a Better Flirt, a Tougher Chick, and a Hotter Girlfriend, and to Living Life Like a Rock Star," is available in bookstores on Aug. 5, 2008 via Simon & Schuster's Simon Spotlight Entertainment. The non-fiction A to Z guide is a reference for everything an edgy girl needs to know, including the obvious (style, beauty, dating, and sex tips) and the not-so-obvious (how to prepare Absinthe, how to hit on a celebrity, how to sneak backstage at a concert). It’s a girl’s guide with a difference; one that shows readers how to identify, go after, and get whatever they want in life, be it a hot guy, a great job, multiple orgasms, or a sexy new look—all while marching to her own (rock) beat.
Her new book is Tera Patrick's memoir: "Sinner Takes All: A Memoir of Love and Porn," out Jan. 10, 2010 via Gotham/Penguin.
