THE LIVE SHOW
Carrie Catherine knows how to mesmerize audiences with her soulful folk/pop sound. The effect of her groovy rhythms and brilliant songwriting is visible as audiences dig into the songs—toes tapping, shoulders swaying, heads nodding. Playful and passionate, Carrie Catherine ignites imaginations with her music and natural beauty. This is the sound of “green-eyed soul”.
THE ALBUMS
Carrie Catherine’s vivid imagery and smooth, sexy vocals are highlighted on her latest album Green-eyed Soul, released in 2008. For this project, Carrie partnered with Don Kerr (Ron Sexsmith, Rheostatics) whose soulful groove is heard in his production style and performance. Green-eyed Soul follows her 2005 release Venus Envy. Produced by John MacArthur Ellis (Jeremy Fisher, The Be Good Tanyas, Barney Bentall) the album was branded “arguably the best Saskatchewan independent release of 2005” (Gerry Krochak, Regina Leader Post). Carrie’s first album Out the Car Window has been featured numerous times on television’s Joan of Arcadia and Beautiful People.
