From Malta now residing in London, Carrie began developing her musical talents at the tender age of 5 with piano, incorporating songwriting and singing by 10, and a first public performance at 16. Carrie's songwriting demonstrates her ongoing fascination with the human experience, the hypothetical question, eccentricity and personality disorders. She has been compared to Tori Amos, Björk and Regina Spektor though she is well on the way to developing her own unique artistry, sound and performance style. .... .. With regular gigging around London and Europe Carrie is steadily attracting enthusiastic fans to her music and performances. She has gigged in France, Denmark, Sicily, Los Angeles and regularly in Malta, including support act for Bob Geldof and The Feeling, and as the feature act for Sting's 'after party'. Carrie was awarded Best Songwriter and Best Female Artist in the Malta Music Awards 2009. Shaun Grech from Life & Style (Malta), wrote, "Carrie is gifted with an amazing vocal range, mature song writing and piano playing skills…destined for success beyond our shores". .... .. After seeing Carrie perform in LA, producer/songwriter Patrick Leonard (Madonna, Roger Waters, Natasha Bedingfield, Mariah Carey) became smitten. During a recording session at A&M studios Patrick told Carrie "You are scary!" referring to the fact that she had just recorded both the vocals and the piano part of her song 'Naked' in one perfect take! Right now he and Carrie are in discussion regarding further recording opportunities 2010. .... .. In 2009 Carrie released her EP 'It's Complex' with a video of the single 'Me Oh My'. Carrie's main focus in 2010 will be writing and co-writing, a UK tour, building the fan base and developing her show. .... .. .... ........ .. .. .. .... ...... ......
