Hi- I'm David Carrier and I'm a Democrat running for State Senate in the 17th Legislative District.
I’m very concerned about the state of the economy and the people of this District. It's unacceptable that so many hard working people can't afford the high cost of food, housing, energy, and health care. Something must be done about it, and I will work to change it.
As an economist, I know that the key to economic growth and security is to invest in the future of our community, starting with quality education, job training, affordable housing and health care, and energy independence. My opponent in the state legislature voted “no” on these policies. I’m going to vote “yes”, because what’s good for people is good for the economy.
