    ..Drawing and Painting, Research, Reading, watching movies, spending time with family, spending time just LIVING! Seeing the sights, smelling the roses. Going to Renaissance Faires and Festivals, whether as a vendor or as an observer (but I wear regular clothes as an observer-those corsets are a killer! No wonder people had smelling salts on their person back then!) And LOVE! Always, love.

And the video from All American Rejects "Hope it gives you Hell". total riot.

    ..Classic Disney-especially Sleeping Beauty, Pan's Labyrinth, Miss Potter, True Lies, Kindergarten Cop, The Matchmaker (Jeanine Garafalo), The Quiet Man, Labyrinth, Never Been Kissed, The Wedding Singer, 50 First Dates, Both newer Batman movies, plus the two with Michael Keaton, The Joy Luck Club, 13 going on 30, Chicago (saw that on stage with Tom Wopat! What a cool guy! And uber-talented!). Pillow Talk, Sense and Sensibility, both Hellboy Movies, Rocky Horror Picture Show, the list goes on...

  • Television

    ..Charmed, Ghost Hunters, Biography, Anne of Green Gables (all three TV Movies), Law and Order SVU, VH1 (LOVE Best Week Ever) and Talk Soup (or is it "The Soup" now?)on E! And "True Blood"!!! It took me a bit to get used to all the changes from the book, kinda felt more like "The Sexual Escapades of Jason Stackhouse" but by the end of season 1, they wrapped it up quite nicely and followed the book as much as any TV writer is capable of without messing the real story up too much. Really liked HBO Series Sopranos, Deadwood, Carnivale, Rome, you name it. Carlos Mencia, Family Guy, and now, one episode into it, Confessions of a Teen Idol on VH1. Darn you, VH1, Darn You!

  • Books

    ..Charlaine Harris' Southern Vampire Series Now a TV series on HBO as "True Blood"- I can't wait for season 2!!!!) Yep, Stephanie Meyer's Twilight books. I fell into the tender trap. Movie was good too. And OH MY GOD when did 2 movie tickets, plus popcorn and two drinks get so stinkin' expensive???? There ought to be a law. Lynn Kurland -Stardust of Yesterday, plus all her other books Laura Ingalls Wilder books (have had the set since I was little) C.S. Lewis' The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe. I'm prone to buying books that will elevate my understanding of what I paint and draw, and whatever draws my interest. Like: The Annotated Grimm Brothers and Hans Christian Anderson by Maria Tatar. I love the story behind the story. And the Annotated Bible. I had to buy it for a required religious class in college and was hooked. I love learning about the life behind the stories.

    ..Artistically, Wendy Pini. My friends and cohorts in the Fairy Art world, like Jessica Galbreth, Jacqueline Collen-Tarrolly, Selina Fenech. I have so many people in my life that are so special to me, who I love so very much. My family are my heroes. My grandparents, God rest them. About me:

I am an artist. I love fairy and fantasy art, always have, as well as comic books. I loved watching Wonder Woman on TV as a little girl, and of course, Classic Disney. I finally made it to Disneyworld in 2007, and I have to say, it was SOOOO worth the trip. I went with my boyfriend and my sister, neice and brother-in-law. I was prepared to hate Epcot, because it's not the Epcot that Walt wanted (does that make me a purist?). I ended up loving it (mostly because I went during the flower festival and also, the different countries).Speaking of my beautiful neice, she is the subject of a painting on the front page of my website (www.daydreamerart.com) named "Bedtime Story"...and she's the inspiration for many more paintings to come. I was also part of a wholesale cooperative named "The Fairy Court", where artists work directly with business owners to bring fairy art to the masses. I've met some of the most wonderful people through The Fairy Court, and have made lifelong friendships as a result... Now, I'm out on my own! Working like a busy bee, creating and posting and blogging and etc....and I now have a full-fledged Etsy store- please visit at www.carritravis.etsy.com. ....About me- I'm smart when it matters, I'm silly and serious, I get excited and animated and talk with my hands.     Thought id drop by and say hello, it was nice meeting you. Going to the pirate fest this weekend? My friends are throwing sharp objects i usually try to stop by at least a few of the festivals they work at, this is the first year i'm going to this hopefully its fun, i was won over by the fact that there will be a pirate ship.
