Megan Treacey 2009: "Phil is a talented, charismatic and experienced entertainer and songwriter. He has performed in England, Ireland, Holland, Germany, Switzerland and Finland for 20 odd years.
Born in Birmingham England, he travelled to Ireland in his youth to look for his roots and got bitten by the "ballad bug". Ever since he has been singing 60's and 70's favourites, Irish and English folk songs and his own enticing, sometimes wacky, compositions.
Phil plays acoustic guitar, blues-harp, and bodhran, taking his audience with him from ballads through rousing uptempo songs to funny storytelling songs. He creates a warm, cheerful atmosphere everywhere he plays, and I think he's marvellous!"
