Carved in Stone is the musical solo project of Swawa who used to play keyboards and do the backing vocals in several metal bands before joining the band “Taunusheim”.
After the successful debut MCD “The forgotten belief”, Carved in Stone returns with the first full length album titled “Hear the Voice” which will be released in spring 2004. Like the debut, “Hear the voice” was recorded in association with Schwarzdorn Production. Swawa stayed true to her own “Mystic Folk”- style and once more presents a collection of old ballads and fantasy stories, surrounded by the atmospheric sound of clean female vocals and acoustic instruments.
The songs tell of deep woods and their creatures, of ancient gods and brave warriors and allow the listener to escape into a world of magic and valour.
The layout for “Hear the voice” was again created by HvemSkulle, who also did the brilliant artwork for the Carved in Stone debut. Again HvemSkulle completed the atmosphere of the whole album by giving it a special optical touch.
