Carved in Stone ist das Soloprojekt der Künstlerin Swawa, die bereits in der Vergangenheit in diversen Metal - Bands als Keyboarderin und Sängerin tätig war, bevor sie bei Taunusheim einstieg.

Nach den bisherigen erfolgreichen Veröffentlichungen in den Jahren 2001 “The Forgotten Belief“ und im Jahre 2004 „Hear the Voice“ meldet sich CARVED IN STONE im Herbst 2007 mit dem zweiten Longplayer zurück, der den Titel „Tales of Glory & Tragedy“ trägt. Aufgenommen wurde das Album erneut in Zusammenarbeit mit Schwarzdorn Production.

Stilistisch ist Sängerin Swawa ihrem „Mystic“ Folk treu geblieben und so enthält „Tales of Glory & Tragedy“ eine neue Sammlung von einzigartigen Balladen und Erzählungen, eingebettet in die atmosphärischen Klänge akustischer Instrumente.

Gnadenlose Schicksale, fast vergessene Geschöpfe und gefallene Helden begleiten den Hörer, der ihnen folgt, durch eine andere Zeit und eine andere Welt, in der das menschliche Wissen keine Rolle zu spielen scheint.

Das passende Layout zu "Tales of Glory & Tragedy" stammt erneut von HvemSkulle, der bereits für die visuelle Gestaltung der beiden Vorgänger verantwortlich war und dem es auch bei diesem Werk wieder gelingt, eine perfekte Harmonie zwischen Musik und Optik zu erzeugen.

Carved in Stone is the solo project of Swawa, who herself played in a cupple of Metal bands before joining her current Viking Metal band Taunusheim, where she..s doing keyboards and flutes.

After the great success of her foregoing releases "The Forgotten Belief" (2001) and "Hear the Voice" (2004), the third album of Carved in Stone is about to be released in autumn 2007. Produced again by Schwarzdorn Productions and again framed by the great booklet artwork of HvemSkulle, the result is an outstanding piece of "Mystic" Folk music titled "Tales of Glory & Tragedy".

Having kept her unique style, singer Swawa is presenting another wonderful collection of ballads and tales, surrounded by the atmospherical sound of acoustic instruments and -for the first time- epical choirs.
