There's so much that influence and inspire me, but here's a list to start with.. Prince, Bowie, Stray Cats, Dick Dale, Moody Blues, Chicago, The JB's (More Peas!), The Spinners, Verrill Keene (aka Bob Keane), Elvis, Glenn Miller, Henry Mancini, Beastie Boys, old U2, the Beatles, Louis Prima, Count Basie, Bootsy!, Paul McCartney, Ian Moore, Cordara Orchestra, Herbie Hancock, Stevie Wonder, Jerry Reed, Miles Davis, Hendrix, Albert Collins, Sabbath, Bee Gees, Sinatra, Mulatu Astatke, Air, Chili Peppers (BSSM), STP, Blood Sweat and Tears, Earth Wind and Fire, anything that features James Jamerson, Henry Miller, James Brown, Groove Armada, Scott Weiland, Michael Jackson, Popa Chubby, Jim Morrisson, George Benson, Duke Ellington, Tom Jones, Dylan, Frankie Valli, Barry White, Paul Simon, Ry Cooder, Royal Crown Revue, Sven Van Hees, Harold Faltermeyer, Tom Scott, Charles Bukowski, pre-reality tv Ozzy, Fela Kuti, London Symphony Orchestra, Badlands, Everything But The Girl, Tommy Dorsey, Smashing Pumpkins, Isaac Hayes, Walter Wanderly, Marvin Gaye, Portishead, Roy Orbison, Nirvana, Stereolab, Albert King, The Meters, Jack Pati (my uncle), Phil Collins, anything having to do with Quincy Jones, Velvet Underground, Beck, all the old Stax & Motown GOODNESS!, Kenny Rogers, The Jackie Gleason Orchestra, bright colors, dark colors, the sound my keys make when i drop them, the color of your pants, the smell of your skin..
In my experience..inspiration is always and constant, being able to recognize it is somewhat of a discipline, yet it's just a state of being.. so it's effortless and screaming for attention.
