About CDC 4th Anniversary Parri!! Friday, May 1st!!!!
No one has floored more with the forming of CASA DE CALACAS than the CDC members themselves. With a passion for music, they dedicated their time and energy to what they believed to be a one time collaboration turned out to be far more than this young band could have hoped for. From ska, cumbia, punk, hip-hop, mariachi, the blending influences of their music cater to one and all. Their audiences are guaranteed to walk away from their shows relating to one or more of their genres. Originating in EAST LOS ANGELES in 2005, CASA DE CALACAS is composed of a fresh and talented young group of men; guitarist and front man Luis Ignacio Mora, bassist, keyboardist, conga player, and singer Carlos Mora, singer, trumpet player Phillip Sanabria, drummer Abraham Fuerte, lead guitarist Mark Zaldivar, and saxophonist Gustavo Flores.
What makes this element such a lethal combination is the influence of family and tradition, each member is related in one form or another and each has been playing and creating music for years. All band members contribute their personalized brand that is always evident in the final product. Their high energy performances never fail to fuel and motivate their audience to get up and join in the celebration. A CASA DE CALACAS show leaves you feeling like you've just been to your favorite relatives party and you're counting the moments to till the next event! Hey guys, is the next show apart from this weekend the 28th March in long beach? I am trying to come over for a week or two and wanna catch amazing live music, so you guys of course and some ozomatli - so just trying to plan some dates around that and lost my job today so i have about 4weeks to kill time:) Hope the band is going great and hope to see you guys again soon. love bec in ausxx
