About me:
Hmmm, in High School I was called Peanut by everybody. In fact I run into people today who never knew my name. I was kind of quiet in HS but I loved drama and was in several plays. After H.S. I went to Mt Angel College for a couple of years and then dropped out to work. My Mom was paying for my college as my Dad didn't think girls should go to college. I wasn't really applying myself and felt guilty. But for the first time in my life I had a steady boyfriend and did some partying. I don't regret that time at all. I passed a civil service test, typing, & got a job at St Vincents Hospital. Anyway, I roomed with my friend Katie in Portland. Got married, had a couple of adorable kids and when they were older I went back to college and eventually got my degree. I got my Masters at PSU. I worked at Tualatin Valley Mental Health as the Special Ed teacher for several years. I taught H.S. kids who were kicked out of school. I Loved my job and the kids. Did this for several years.
I'm still married to the same guy. Been married about 45 years now. That must be some kind of record. He was also a teacher and taught Math and Science in Beaverton for 30 years. We're now retired and living the good life in Sunriver OR. Walt, my husband, and I volunteer to give back to our community. He does Search and Rescue and I do SMART reading and we both do CASA.
We have a dog, Elvis, and a cat Buddy. I love to travel, bike, hike, read,and cook. I belong to a Gourmet cooking group and two Bunco groups.
