This is my bio for the JFL Homegrown Show from the summer of 2007.

Ottawa’s Casey Corbin keeps up a long tradition of strong comedians coming out of the nation’s capital. He is following in the footsteps of legendary headliners like Mike MacDonald and Jeremy Hotz but also making a name for himself with a unique, extremely likable, down-home approach. In fact, he was nominated for Funniest Newcomer at the Canadian Comedy Awards in 2001 and 2002: the only person from Ottawa to enjoy a re-election in quite some time. Casey was also handpicked by Harland Williams to open for the Just For Laughs produced “Tasty Treats” tour in 2005 and taped a CBC television special at the Halifax Comedyfest earlier this year which turned many network executive heads. This summer, Casey will get another chance at impressing networks as he competes in the coveted Homegrown Comedy Competition and hopes that audience polls will elect him to be our Homegrown leader!

Well, once it got into the paper I had no problem finding out about the show... excellent article in the Weekender! And I was just wondering... will Occasions Catering be selling smoogen floggins at the show? :-) I think John would make pretty good smoogen floggins. ;-) Have a Merry Christmas and I'm still hoping to get out to the show. Take care.
Hey Casey, Thanks for the update... wasn't sure if the show on the 29th was still a go or not... hadn't seen anything in the Mercury, the Weekender, on the sign at the Legion or listed in your Upcoming Gigs. Also caseycorbin. ca seems to be off the air. :-( I hope I can make it! I can always use a good laugh! :-) Take care.
YO Case, thinking of you on Boxing Day, hope yer havin a good one. I recently left just about every facebook group eh. but, I'm ridin the C Train fo' life!!! xxx
