The buzz that has surrounded the Debut Casey Fallen album entitled "Orbis Pictus" is that Casey Fallen had created something new and refreshing for the ears. The honesty in the lyrics and mixed styles of Alternative, Electronica and Rock create a distinct new sound.
There are only a few well known underground indie artist names that are known by those that follow the Los Angeles indie scene. In a sea of artist, Casey Fallen is one of a few names that continued to rise to the top.
What is interesting about this album is that it was not created with the intention to ever be released as a album. It was Casey Fallen's private collection of music. Basically thoughts and experiences documented as songs. It was of a sort, Casey Fallen's private diary.
One evening while at a close friends house for a cocktail party, Casey was introduced to a fellow artist and Producer who works with many top artist in the music industry as a day job. Doug Osborne had already had a successful music career under his belt and years of experience as a recording artist. Casey's friend introduced the two and casually brought up the fact that Casey also did music to Doug.
Doug, Having an appreciation of art of all types, asked to hear a bit of Casey's work. All Casey had with him at the party was a poor quality cassette recording with one song on it out in his car. Doug took a listen and one week later Casey and Doug were hard at work in the recording studio.
The Conundrum that Doug and Casey had now procured was "How to take a Demo, turn it into a professional recording, with out losing the indie sound that Doug and Casey had collectively envisioned"
After a year in studio, Doug and Casey were satisfied that they had preserved the raw emotion and indie sound that they desired and the Casey Fallen Debut album "Orbis Pictus" was born.
With the release of the Debut album, Casey Fallen was new to the world of indie music. But was not new to the music scene. Casey had been a member of many amateur garage bands before going solo and becoming the lead singer of "Casey Fallen"
Casey had worked tirelessly to not only contribute to one particular garage band he played in, but also promoted the band to heights that were very much admired by fellow garage bands, but not so much appreciate by fellow band members who released Casey from the band with out his knowledge. With- in six months of Casey's absence from the band, it collapsed and broke-up.
Casey now had time to work on his own material. A side project called "Minor Felony" was a darker electronic goth - like project that was put together by Casey just before Casey Fallen was formed. It still has a small cult following today. The instrumental "Runway 27" crossed over from the Minor Felony project and ended up on the Casey Fallen Debut album.
Casey found out very quickly that he had been doing everything right in the way of promotion over the years for the bands he was part of. The one thing that had been missing was simply good music. That good music had been right under Casey's nose for years, tucked away in his own personal music collection.
Casey and Doug have been very humbled by all the amazing support and recognition of there debut project. You can be sure that future albums will be something you don't want to miss!

Personal Message from Casey Fallen:
I like to think of myself as more of a songwriter then a musician. That is mostly because I know so many awesome musicians!
I like just about every style of music, but my favorite types usually fall into the electronica category.
I can be shy when I first meet new people, but tend to be more of the out going type once I know some one. I am silly and love to laugh. I have a huge imagination and definitely would consider myself a dreamer.
I am a college graduate, with my degree in "Social And Behavioral Sciences". I also have my broadcasting license and certificates in communications, mixing, and board operations.
I have finished my first solo C.D. I recorded the majority of the Casey Fallen, Orbis Pictus E.P. in my home studio. In the last year I took my music to an outside studio and mastered at Paramount. The E.P. was released on December 10th through
"HollyWood" Review by Sound Orbit
” Once upon a time, I traveled to L.A. alone in pursuit of a dream. The streets were filled with hopefuls caught in a back and forth motion of possibilities, the to and fro of the soul living lost in the cobweb created between the pursuit of the fight or the abandonment of illusion.
Casey Fallen’s debut single video release, “Hollywood” is like the dark slap in the face of that experience. The mood is pungent, dark and ever so representative of the true Hollywood experience, the climb to fame and stardom stripped of its glamour. Instead what is revealed is the tone of prevailing truths within the mountain of glitter and lights.
The music is electronic ambient, full of the same dark mystery that rummages through the streets of LA and is only broken with the coming of the dawn.
Casey has the ability to transport the listener here, taking an ambient mood of pain in the verses to the chorus with strong angst and drive of electric guitars that provide the true character and substance against a hard beat. Pain reveals the losses – Casey emerges strong in the chorus, questioning the whys that give him drive. Even though the answer is not yet defined in this song, I feel like this tune is a perfect balance of electronic mood, lyrics and rock sensibility – not to mention how in tune the elements of the video are.
This is a perfect package. As a listener, I want to embrace myself within a song’s every element, be transported by it without having to wonder or question where it is taking me. Casey’s “Hollywood” allows for complete surrender and to me that is what a great song is all about – letting it do all the work while you sit back and enjoy.
Casey Fallen is currently in studio working on the new upcoming album "Atmospheric Disturbances"
