I AM...
Hip Hop. my name is CA$INO, im a revolutionary nu yorican poet born and raised in the official home of hip hop, the boogie down bronx, located in new york. casino symbolizes two things, it brings back a memory of my grandmother when i was a kid, she loved to go to atlantic city to gamble in the casinos; the thought takes me back to a more peaceful time and place when she would take me along with her to gamble numbers in the hood. the second symbolism is the simple act of "struggling to get that money." when people go to the casino, they go to "get that money," struggling too. no matter what you do in life as far as your career is concerned, you "struggle to get that money" how ever you choose to get it. i write hip hop. more so like that soul music that guides you from your hardest times to your most greatest memories. i've been recording hip hop for about 12 years straight and in today's society Hip Hop has evolved on so many levels. my music is to uplift the poor when times are rough; that music that inspires you to get up and continue in life no matter what or who's in your way. i stay giving cds out all day, everyday. releasing street albums yearly; and i work alone. those who know like the local neighbors in numerous areas, respect it for the reality that it is b/c they stand witness. they see that i struggle and continue to pursue my goals. they stay anticipating for the next cd. those who have never heard of me, when they do hear; they cant wait for the next cd. i've performed in the nu yorican poets cafe, club pyramid, the karma lounge, delancey lounge, and block parties in the bronx. i have music for days; and all my material is copy right. if you're interested in more information feel free to contact me via email for further notice. thank you to those of you who actually take the time to sit hear and absorb a lil piece of my mind. feel free to download some songs, glance at some pix to see how im living, and check out the live performances and live freestyles. much respect to all who support, thank you and enjoy the music...
