Joshua Jay Thomas (born December 21, 1984), better known by his stage name Cassanova, is an American Hip Hop Artist/Songwriter. Originally from Vallejo/American Canyon, California, Cassanova is well on his way to making his mark in the entertainment industry. At the early age of 12, Cassanova wrote his first verse and began to further his interest in hip hop music. With such influences as Wu-Tang, Tribe Called Quest, Black sheep, Jay-Z, Rakim, Rappin 4 tay, and E-40 to name a few, he has developed the ability to write lyrics without using pen and paper, “I believe that if its from the heart then its already there, you just have to spit it out”.
Growing up around substance abuse in and out of homes sometimes even homeless, Cassanova has managed to channel his hardships into his music by elaborating on staying positive and following your dreams no matter what. Ever since his brothers first picked up the pad he knew making music was something that came natural to him. In 2006, he moved from his hometown of A.C. to the city of San Diego in pursuit of a successful career in music and entertainment and is currently recording his fourth self titled album "Money N Fly Girls". With his unique style and raw talent, Cassanova strives to deliver a classic yet new school sound to the world of music and entertainment by creating serious music that’s fun. This year alone Cassanova has catalogued over 100 Hip Hop and R&B songs and has worked with such companies as, Arctic Wolf Entertainment, Swoll productions, Attack Productions, Bo'digm Music and Trifecta Music Group to name a few. Cassanova has also written songs for dozens of up and coming artists while managing to release 3 solo projects, mixtapes and several collaboration projects.
