"BUILDING HOUSES IN HOSPITALS" Live at the Slammin Hall 7/24/07
Dan Ravenell (20, drums), Derek Ravenell (18, guitar/vocals), Rene Legault (19, bass/vocals) and Adam Papineau (21, guitar) are Cassela, a four piece emo/rock band from a basement in Warwick, Rhode Island. We don't care if our music is influenced by completely irrelevant things like Reptar and the Angry Beavers, cuz it works for us!
Honestly, we're just a group of dudes who want to play music for the rest of our lives, and we're willing to work our every waking hour to do so.
Cassela formed in June 2006 after a couple local bands decided to call it quits. Right away, we knew that this was going to be better than anything else we'd done, so we didn't mess around from the start, and wrote our first demo, recorded at Getaway Group in Wakefield, MA in November '06. After that, we decided that if we wanted to get known, we'd have to play all over, and we've been trying to do that ever since.
We don't have a biography yet, because we're still living the dream. We're still driving hours to shows where there may be less kids than miles we drove, we're still singing songs that we wrote about the things that happen to everyone, and no just rockstars; we're really just kids, and we're really just hoping to make it somewhere, anywhere accepting us.
When it's all over, we'll recap the whole thing for you, but, if that's what you're waiting for, you'll be waiting for a while. Listen to our music in the meantime.
