graduated from THE University of Texas December 2001 with a B.A. in music composition. While there studied voice under William Lewis, Suzi Stern, and workshopped with Bobby McFerrin one summer in Oregon. During the final year as an undergrad I worked at Esther's Follies as a magician assistant, singer, dancer, and actress...also that year I had my first experience working on a movie set : _Miss Congeniality_.
After college I tried other pursuits, most of which I am still following including work as a Pilates,yoga, and aerobics instructor. Over the last few years I have lived and taught yoga many many months in Negril, Jamaica. But alas, skin cancer got me. I had two surgeries and am healthy but staying in Austin to pursue music and somewhat avoid the sun.
2007 saw seven commercials for Honda Acura/national,Apple Productions, Wainwright law firm, Extreme Proski Sports, Texas State Optical, a PSA for the Texas Fire Marshall still airing on KXAN, and Chevy Trucks. Four shorts including Totally Connected which has been won seven awards so far this year.
Prinicpal in film "We are Naked" which opens the film "Baghead" by the Duplass Brothers which will be premiered at the Sundance Film Festival January 2008. I played a waitress twice last year on "Fighting With Anger" starring Willie Nelson and in "Stop Loss' starring Ryann Phillippe. Most recently I played a reporter in "A Mighty Heart", the new Angelina Jolie film about Daniel Pearl.
I worked on my first television show in March 2007: a new CBS sitcom called "Swingtown." April I worked as Julia Roberts stand in a new film titled "Fireflies in the Garden." 2007 also saw me as a mermaid in the new punk rock video for the Riverboat Gamblers, and a doppleganger in the new Chili Cold Blood music video. Most importantly I am releasing my debut album, all originals for which I have spent every ounce of energy for the last year on. I look forward to to presenting them to you soon. Love,Cass
