i love to take photos of my kids, nature, anything. scrapbooking takes too much time and organization. but i love photography. i would thoroughly enjoy learning how to develop my own film. have a dark room and all. i also enjoy reading, mainly christian fiction. mostly mysteries and suspense, but i also love to read children's fantasy books (harry potter, inkheart, etc...) i don't get much time to read anymore, having two kids. but when i can, i enjoy being in someone else's story for awhile.

i enjoy many kinds of music. many, many artists. christian, country, 60's, 80's, 90's. all of it. avalon, casting crowns, tim mcgraw, rascal flatts, aerosmith, bon jovi, chicago, journey, nirvana, hinder, nickelback, the pixies, usher, led zeppelin, and many many more!

i love to watch movies! i am not, however, one of those people who memorize movie lines. i like many types of movies. classics, chick flicks, comedies, suspense. some are: top gun, anything cary grant, classic christmas films, sweet home alabama, just married, transformers, facing the giants, and up close & personal. i like happy endings. i like to get wrapped up in a world where things end perfectly. if i wanted reality, i'd stay home and deal with the daily ebb and flow of life. movies are a get-away.

grey's anatomy, women's murder club, men in trees, & private practice. benjamin now has me hooked on lost, beauty & the geek, and supernatural. thank goodness for dvr and reality shows that end.

a description of me:
i am a wife and mother of three beautiful children and one due in january. christian, sister, friend, listener, "counselor," reader, "photo taker," household organizer, impressionistic art admirer, concert goer, and cake decorator.
i enjoy hearing my children playing together and laughing together. vacations are my haven. namely, the beach. we try to go at least once a month. just a day trip. i love to admire nature as i drive or walk by. i am always disappointed if i don't have my camera with me so that i can stop and take pics!
i am a work in progress. i can be a perfectionist. i've learned to pray about everything. i have strong ethics and an overwhelming conscience. if anything, i am always honest; but loving. i love to care for people. i think that's a good quality, but it can also be a weakness.
i love that the older i get, life changes. i get wiser. i feel i have lived. i need to always remember to rely on god, and not my own understanding and my own strength. if i stay in tune with that, i will always come out a better person on the other side.
my goal is to be a women's spiritual mentor someday. and benjamin and i are working toward getting in tune with god, together. learning and growing together. and enjoying being planted in north carolina by god.
Who I'd like to meet: there are many people i would love to meet someday. a few are: jesus, claude monet, and tim mcgraw. i love meeting new people! i don't really have any idols, just interesting people that intrigue me. like old actors, back when hollywood was inspiring - cary grant would be great to meet. a few impressionistic artists. a couple bakers would be fun. just people. anybody and everybody!
I'm sorry that everything is so difficult with your folks right now. i will say some prayers for you. I don't know if I could go to a church that big. I would feel more like I was getting lost as just a number than a member. The church we go to is reasonable size. There are quite a few older folks that go to it. Which would have me worry when we have kiddy winks. I don't want them thinking that church is just for old people. We do, however, feel as though it is the church that God has led us to. We feel fairly settled there and have a good house group that we go to. All is good in the hood!
Oh yes! And thank you for letting me know that you commented back on those. I don't get notified, so I would have just been sitting there wondering what I had done, and why you didn't want to talk to me. :(
Trailer photos- Long story!!! I went to look at it for someone who wanted to buy it and took pictures. There were too many to email, so I posted them here temporarily. I'll tell you the long story sometime.
That photo was actually taken in Wilmington on one of the first trips he made down to see me. The flowers beside us are actually flowers that he bought for me. Aren't they lovely??? ;-)
Hahaha. Harry is a brilliant friend who just returned from Iraq not too long ago. His fellow soldiers had this thing with dirty socks. They thought they were hilarious. While on the plane, the guys would take their socks and hang them from the over head compartments and such and just giggle when the flight attendants would look in disgust. Silly boys! Dottie and I are not related, but we did look very similar in that picture. I never realized until you said, that's funny.
Yes! The bugs are massive. Please watch out for Brown Recluse. There are a lot of them down there. The love lurking in dark places where you would put your hand unknowingly. And in piles of leaves, copperheads. Yikes!

Tell ben that Michael dont have any tattoos yet.....but trust me he wants one....just like his daddy!! lol School is going good...they are evaluating Michael for ADHD....and he goes back to his specialist next week to have more hearing tests done...then we have a meeting with the school on thursday for his new speech classes.
